If you are/have been pregnant in Disney: 7DMT and Safari

For Splash it's actually the major drop, including the angle of it and the speed, plus the sudden stop at the end.
It's a 50 foot free fall at a 45 degree angle, gets up to 40 miles per hour and stops suddenly at the end.
The biggest concern I have read is placental abruption, where the placenta can partially peel off the wall of the uterus. If you do a google search for that, you will find quite a bit.

Agree with this 100%. There are definite defined risks with roller coasters and drop rides that would make me never consider them while pregnant. That is part of the reason I rode the safari. It is unclear what the risk is. Even on this thread, several possibilities have been mentioned. There is no evidence to show that a bumpy vehicle ride poses any risk. Nor does being evacuated and walking in the heat (always keep water in your backpack if you are at Disney pregnant). Yes, the baby would be at risk if the vehicle was charged at full force by an angry rhino, but that's never ever happened. You should always do what you feel comfortable with. Some said I shouldn't even go to Disney pregnant. But I felt comfortable with what I should and shouldn't do. I'm used to heat (heat index has been over 100 nearly all month where I live and I'm 8 months pregnant). I drank tons of water, took it slow, and rested when I needed to.

My point is, there is some risk with every choice you make during your pregnancy, from driving a car, to working, to what types of meds you take or foods you eat. And you have to decide between you, your partner, and your doctor what you are comfortable with. For me, I'll ride the safari and eat occasional lunch meat but I won't have even a sip of alcohol or take prescription meds (even the "safe" ones). But every woman and every pregnancy is different and at the end of the day, you are the one that has to feel good about your choices.

And be aware that even if many women have been on a certain ride while pregnant and had no issues, that is no guarantee of you having the same result.

I'd be saying no to Florida in general during a pregnancy, just for the Zika issues. Or smothered in bug spray, which isn't the best thing during a pregnancy either. While the over 200 cases of Zika reported in FL are supposedly "travel-based" the mosquitoes there are the same species as the ones carrying Zika, so IMO, it's just a matter of time.
