If $$ were no object, how many DVC points would you have?

I would head to the 1000 mark so that I could have them to treat family and friends.

If that was not enough, I would buy what I needed to always stay in a GV at BLT.

Agree with that! So I say Ditto! :thumbsup2

I think somewhere around 2000. I think that would be enough to do a cruise every year and then still have a WDW trip in there, too.:cool1:

If money weren't an issue, I'd buy a house in Celebration and have 1,000 points for stays on property. I'd sprinkle those points out to friends and family from time to time.

It would be easy to say I'd want 5,000 and stay for months, but I'd rather hold back so that I truly appreciate my time spent in the world.

Money no object? House in Celebration, limo/driver for transpo, personal assistant for bothersome details (ADRs, etc).

Zero. I'd pay cash for suites with concierge services.

Ditto for me. I would guess that timeshares aren't really a desirable product for the uber-wealthy. Way too many restrictions and not enough luxury and pampering.

enough to live in a 2 bedroom BCV or a 3 bedroom villa elsewhere on the property, and able to invite friends and family over :thumbsup2

We currently have enough points to vacation between 2-3 weeks in a 2 bedroom at the VGC, depending on the season, but with retirement coming in the next 10 years, I would LOVE enough to stay Jan, Feb, and March. A 1 bedroom would be 3500 and a 2 bedroom would be 4800, but I guess that is just a dream because the dues alone on 4800 points would be $24,000 a year.:scared1: But dreaming is nice.....

I figure about 3000 give or take would accommodate me for a nice winter retreat during the cold and snow seasons here up north!

I haven't checked the number but enought to be a "snowbird", spend at least a month during the winter in at least a two bedroom unit :thumbsup2

Well, I'm waiting on our 150 point contract to pass ROFR, but, I would like to have enough points to do the following...

A week at Fall Break in a 2 bedroom.
The week of New Year's after Christmas in a 2 bedroom.
Then enough for all the race weekend throughout the year, 2 bedroom again.

At some point I would like to have enough to do the THV once a year so my DD's can all bring a friend! I can't wait to treat my family to a vacation one day!

Currently I've got 325. (160 BLT and 165 AUL)

If $$$ were no object, I Would probably want to add about 50-75 at Grand California. And then maybe another 160 at BLT. And then another 25-50 at AUL.

I think then we would be set.

If $$$ were no object, the last thing I would buy is DVC.

I would instead be tucked into a nice big suite at the Yacht Club, Beach Club or Grand Californian. Concierge, room service, housekeeping.....anything I want is as close as the telephone!!! THAT's the life!

I would love to have enough to stay in a grand villa for week with enough leftover for a cruise! How nice it would be to have unlimited points!

I don't own in DVC but I like this game....:cool1::cool1:

I'd need a 2BR and would want:
**2 wks over Halloween and/or Xmas (Either 1 wk Halloween AND 1 wk Xmas at VGC, or 2 wks at WDW for Halloween or Xmas)
**1 wk VGC in the summer

The money is no object would be utilized by park passes, food, airfare, souveniers, etc for a family of 6!)

Most answers seem to focus on WDW stays with a couple opting for cruises also, but if money were no object then the more inefficient uses of points would be great way to use points. After all money is no object. So I'm think one ABD vacation a year would be an excellent thing to do. Currently the most expensive is 840 pts. - so that's 1680 pts. Then I'd like a BLT 1 BR LV for two weeks a year, but not the same time of year. The two highest weeks are 384 and 296 pts. So in total I'd get about 2400 pts.
