If we go any cheaper, Disney will have to start paying us to come!!! LAH LAH's PTR

I love seeing how the kiddies have grown in those photos! :goodvibes

Hopefully Meema & Peepa can join again! :thumbsup2

1st, congratulations on your newest addition to your beautiful family!!! :goodvibes

And, congrats on all of your savings.

That is a awesome shot of the oldest two jumping on the bed!
My DD plays volleyball, she loves it.

I have to say that I have watched Never Say Never about 10x with Lexi and I have Bieber fever! I think he is the most adorable kid ever!

Have you done the YES program before? This will be their first time. We are excited! :cool1: I've heard they can fill up quickly. Thankfully, we were able to secure our spots. I didn't want to have to pay full price for our tickets!

We have never done the YES program before. Our past 3 trips were all with the special military tickets. A few weeks ago I priced out 10 nights at various resorts and all sorts of ticket combinations with and without military discount and then printed it all out, handed it to my husband and let him make the choice, LOL. I had to explain the YES program but once he understood how it worked, he was all for it and wanted to be the one to attend the class with Zach.

The All City Orchestra Concert was this past Saturday ~ amazing to see how they all come together with only 6 hours or so of group practice (2 1/2 Thursday night, 4 on Friday morning) Zach is my first kid to play an instrument so it's all new to me. There were 100 5th graders from 32 elementary schools represented in his orchestra - Zach was one of the two selected at his school so that was pretty cool!

MEEMA & PEEPA

Meema and Peepa are my parents. We always invite them to join us when we go to Disney! Sometimes they are able to pull it off, and sometimes other responsibilities keep them from being a part of our fun. I contacted them as soon as we decided this trip was going to happen for us. Their responses were positive. My dad's latest email sounds like it will probably happen...so I am just going to be extremely optimistic and say THEY ARE JOINING US!!! :cool1:

Awesome that Meema and Peepa are along for the adventure again! Wishing everyone good health on this trip!!

That is so awesome. It's always fun to see the kids play with the top of the area. How long has he been playing? I love orchestras. We live in such a rural area that it's a rare thing to get the chance to hear!

Sent ya a PM so I don't clog up your trip report with my replies!

West Side Story!

Play week is always busy! I had the pleasure of attending all 4 of the High School performances. I just love seeing my kiddos up on stage! :lovestruc Michael was a Shark gang member and Elsa was one of the Jet dancing girls. It was a great production!

Great play pics! Love Elsa's dress! When is Elsa's middle school production? (Or should that be how much longer til Elsa's schedule isn't quite so hectic?!)

Looks like they had a great time doing the play! :thumbsup2

And I can't get over how much Michael looks like Peepa in that picture!

SO excited for you! And don't you worry a bit about having to "prove" anything to anyone lady! You are a SUPER Momma, just having 5 kids at home as a single parent is aaaaaaaamazing. Seriously. ::yes:: And you DEFINITELY deserve some solo time with Michael and Elsa as I'm sure the littles suck away more of your time!

I'm so so so happy you get to return! And what a deal you've gotten! We are doing the YES class (well, our friends are - Henry still isn't quite old enough for the classes offered during that time) in October. I'm really looking forward to hearing all about it!

Actually, they just recasted her role yesterday :worried: It's been a few days of drama and decision making, but my "never does anything wrong" Elsa stood up for something she thought was right and lost her role in the play. I am SUPER proud of her for sticking to her guns, but it is months of play rehearsals down the drain. One of her really good friends who was casted as Mr. Tumnus stepped down today in response to this. She has good friends!!! The play opens in less than two weeks...and we will be there, in the audience cheering on her friends who are still in the play.

Seriously, he really does!!!

AHHHHH! You have a new PTR! :hyper: Must go back and read!

YAY!!! :goodvibes

We started looking into it for the discount, but we are so excited to take part in the classes!! What class are your friends doing?

And, the MOST important thing...CONGRATULATIONS on the adoption with Noah!!!!!!:banana::banana:

THANK YOU!!!! :hyper:

Noah Turns One!!!

Our precious little man just turned 1! I can't believe how fast the year flew by and how big he has gotten. He is such a happy, happy little man. We did a Dr. Seuss theme and it turned out great! Lots of people came to help us celebrate and it was just such a great day!

:bday: Happy 1st Birthday Noah!! party:

Super, super cute pics! Noah sure is a cutie! And I love how smile-y he is in all those pics. Love the Thing shirts! Those cupcakes are cool! You certainly know how to throw a themed party and we all know you take fabulous pics to document every occasion!

Sorry to hear about Elsa's drama with drama! I'm sure it has something to do with jealousy (or pre-teen pettiness or something along those lines) but just from what you write about her, I know she is a sweet, caring, confident young lady and nothing will stop her from continuing to pursue her goals and dreams!

Have you made any plans for Disney yet? I haven't done a thing and probably won't for another month or so. The military family that owns the house we're renting are moving back here when our lease is up next month so we've rented another house and we'll be moving ourselves during the month of May. I am so not excited about that. Can't wait to turn over this house and get back to planning.

Oh my goodness! Happy birthday, Noah. I absolutely love how excited and happy he looks in all of the pictures.

Actually the drama was created by the director, unfortunately. One of Elsa's play practices coincided with one of her five track meets. Yes, only five total track meets this year. I think the wording from the director was "I forbid you to miss that practice and attend the track meet". Really?! She forbids it?

Elsa and I talked a lot about it and she wasn't willing to miss it over a practice (performance? yes, practice? no), and I wasn't happy that the director was being a bit of a bully. We wrote a very short, nicely written note explaining that Elsa made the decision to attend the track meet. When she showed up to practice later that day someone else was mic-ed up for her role. She waited through the whole practice waiting for an explanation and it never came. They ignored her through it all.

Elsa is relieved it's over. I am thankful I was able to teach her that no teacher/director can MAKE her do anything. She went into her decision knowing it may cost her the role and that was the worst that happened. It's a shame, because she gave up her February break to attend play practices and also Easter break she showed up to the optional play work days. She attended every practice for 2 months, including the 7am ones. She was also the first of the main roles to learn all their lines and earn a prize. This girl is no slacker. I just don't think a 12 year old should have had to make this decision.

Moving on...:rotfl: we don't plan much other than where we will spend our day. I will get back to posting about that, but we have been sharing our sicknesses back and forth and once all the barfing and fevers subside I'll jump right back in! :(

Oh my goodness! Happy birthday, Noah. I absolutely love how excited and happy he looks in all of the pictures.

Thank you! This boy is seriously always this happy. He is such a blessing to us!!

:goodvibes

Poor Elsa! What a horrible thing for her to experience.

That director REALLY needs to get over herself; it's a school production not a Hollywood movie! If she can so easily shattered a kids' heart like that then I'm not entirely sure she should be working with children. Such very petty behavior too, not something that the other kids in the production should be taught is acceptable.

Good for Elsa for following her heart. She can hold her head high despite her disappointment.

On a happier note... HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOAH! Looks like he had a ball knowing he was king of the gang for the day.
