We haven't been to the World since they changed the FP system, so I'm a bit unclear how this works. We are going to a MVCMP one night next month. If we arrive at 4:00, can we still get FPs for any of the rides before the official party start time of 7:00?

Keep in mind that since FP+ time block are one hour long it may be difficult to get three scheduled between 4-7pm and with that late period in the day, selection will be limited. Even at my 60 day booking window I was not able to get what I wanted and with a 415p start to the first FP+ was only able to schedule two FP+ for that three hour time slot.

Same here, could only get two to fit. Only two of the ones I was trying for anyway.

I guess I need to read a bit more how the new FP systems works, but I thought it was tied to your tickets. So if I don't have a regular ticket to MK, just the party, how would I even try for a FP?

Because the PartyTicket is a Ticket and can be linked to your MDE account.

This was my first experience with FP+ and I thought I could only find two to fit at first.

I kept going through all the times for the first and second FPs, but couldn't find a time for the first that would work with the party time. I eventually realized that I had to start by moving the third FP to the latest time possible (in my case 5:30-6:30) and then I was able to fit the 3 in. (1- 3:30-4:30, 2- 4:30-5:30) Even though the last FP was only a few minutes earlier (I believe it was originally 5:25), there was some overlap with all the available times so they wouldn't display.

You can schedule your first one to be between 3:30 and 4:30, which should help with scheduling all three. I did one from 3:15 to 4:15 for MNSSHP. I had to go directly to my first one, but I had plenty of time.

We are only going to the party. Just a weekend trip. No regular park tickets.

Are you staying onsite? Our party tickets were automatically linked in MDE so I was just able to go on and book the FPs.

It allows you to book them for anytime that day, so you will just have to try to find times that will actually work for you. Ex. You could book a 3:15-4:15 FP even though you can't enter the park until 4:00.

Okay, just curious. What if someone were to buy a MVMCP ticket or just a regular MK ticket at the ticket counter and didn't pre-purchase. Is there any way to get a FP at that point with no pre-planning?

Go to a kiosk and choose anything that may be available between 4-7.

With a regular ticket, you can book anything that's available between regular park open - close.

I booked our FP+ for the November 7th MVMCP and we did -

Mickey Mouse - 3:05p - 4:05p
SDMT - 4:25p - 5:25p
POTC - 5:30p - 6:30p

Plus we had an add at the Plaza at 5:05p

Our bus arrived at 3:51p and believe or not we made everything plus we hit the Tea Cups after SDMT on the way to the Plaza (my son loves those tea cups) and we had sundaes after dinner.

I picked Mickey because I knew he was all the way at the front as soon as we walked in and we had a good shot of getting there. We made it by two minutes and my son was so happy that Mickey spoke to him it was worth a FP+ for us.

We did get lucky to get thru security and the ticket lines quickly, there was no wait for the bands and we got thru the lines on everything in minutes.
