If VAK or CRV, what do think the points will be?

I know it's pure speculation, but what's your guess for the points/day at the next DVC resort? Need to know what size add-on to plan for................

Seems to me that Disney can go two ways with this....charge a bundle per point, or make a very "expensive" point schedule.

I think they'll choose the latter, figuring that they then don't have to raise the price per point all that much but anyone who stays at them will have to use more points per night.

It will be interesting to see how they will approach this, assuming it happens.

I think Granny is right, but if they build both, I don't think the point schedule will be equal for both. Heck they might even be less points, since Disney has so much trouble filling those two resorts anyway. I think the CRV might garner more points because of its Monorail location. I suspect AKLV will be the same point schedule as BWV, BCV, and VWL.

My guess it that the points would be about the same as BWV, VWL and BCV. Wouldn't the demand be about the same as for those other resorts. CR is on the monorail, but some people object to the decor and if it is a high rise won't like that. AKL has the animals (maybe) is close to AK, but is far from everything else. I would think that would balance them out to make them about as appealing as the other DVC resorts that are attached to Deluxe Resorts. But that's just my opinion. Plus the BWV preffered view point chart must have worked well for DVC because they used it two more times. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see if these resorts even get built. I sure hope they do.

I think AKL points will be about the same as SSR; but CRV points would be in line with VWL and BCV...maybe 5-10% higher.

Given everything in place at present, I suspect they will be the same as BCV/BWV/VWL for the same size accommodations. I do not think they will have different points for different views though they may have different booking categories. I doubt they'll have 3 BR GV or any weird unit sizes like a 1 BR sleep 6. They might consider a 1 BR with a studio on each side as a lockoff to general a 3 BR but I haven't heard anything from DVC that would suggest THEY are thinking of this.

I'd add on 1,000 points just to be on the safe side.
Any truth to the rumor they're both opening April 1st?
