We are going to have to cancel our upcoming trip late September:sad1: due to financial reasons. I was just wondering if when you cancel reservation if the ADR cancel too. We are going with my brothers family and they are still planning on going. I dont want them to lose all their ADRS because we have some good ones. I made all the reservations. I know they need to call and change their party size but I dont want them to be stuck because we have to cancel.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. But...my husband's very best friend since 2nd grade lives in Walker. He was from Baton Rouge but moved to N.J. when he was 7, then stayed in Louisiana after attending LSU. I don't know how big a town Walker is but you don't happen to know Cindy and Tom Newsom, do you? :)

We went through this last year. We had to cancel our trip due to illness. When we called to cancel the joint ADRs, they had to be completely rebooked.
It was a pain and we had to work with management to guarentee Chef Mickey. A couple of the others were not so bad because there were still openings but I probably would not chance it.

The ADR's have to be re-booked because of the change in the number of diners. Have them do it immediately. Good Luck.

We had to do this when we had to switch our dates, and my BIL kept his families the same. The CM I spoke with just changed the number of people in the party and they were able to keep all of our original reservations. They will still be in the name of the person booked, but the CM said ID's are not checked, so there wouldn't be a problem. Well, that and SIL and I have the same name. So, give dining a call and let them know you need to switch the number of people and it shouldn't be a problem.

no cancelling your hotel reservation does not cancel your dining reservations...they are not actually linked in the system.

Since it is Free DIning, and so many places are booked up, I would think twice about rebooking those dinner reservations, especially if they are at popular places. Unless you have reservations which require $$$ for no-shows I would just keep the reservations as they are and have your relatives show up for ADR as scheduled. You can always show up with less people than are on your reservation - that happens all the time. They will just put you on the list for a different size table at the time you check in. If you cancel those reservations & try to rebook with a different number you risk getting shut out entirely.

Walker is about midsize and growing. About 10 years ago it was a very small town. The name doesnt sound familiar though. I had to laugh though because I grew up in NJ and moved down here about 5 years ago. My husband grew up here.
