If they only sell a certain # of tix per night for MVMCP, why not a Friday ?

I have read not to book on a Friday evening due to the crowds, but if they only sell a certain number, why is it a problem. I know the less people the better, but I would think even at the maximum, it is better than the regular crowd on an average day.

I think because from what I have read the only nights that typically sell out are weekends and Christmas...so if the weekday nights...Monday thru Thrusday do not sell out...they are less crowded. From what I have read maximum capacity is pretty crazy!

does anyone know if the weekend rule applies to sunday too or just friday and saturday. we were thinking about going on 12/7.

We went last year on a Friday and because the previous couple of nights were washouts, some of the guests got comped tickets for Friday night. It was VERY crowded that night, almost like a regular full house during a non-party activity.

When we were entering the parking lot there was a sign that did say that the special event was SOLD OUT for that night.

We are going back again on a Friday night again this year and will enjoy it no matter what. It's the Holdays at Disney!!!

You have to realize too that all the attractions are not open for MVMCP so even if the maximum people are there it would still feel more crowded than a crowded day in MK. This is because you are all concentrated in one area.
In 2001 I went the first week of December and then last year we went around the 17th. It was more crowded last year than the year prior and it does make a difference in seeing the shows and the parade. We were still able to get good spots, but if you can avoid a Friday night I would recommend doing so.
