If The Happiest Celebration on Earth finishes 30th Sep.... what replaces?

Ive reead on all ears that the 50th Celebration, officially ends on 30th Sep. Thats fine for us, as we were lucky enough to see it in april 05. My question is what will replace it ??? Im getting excited we might see something new ??? Anyone............

Nothing has been announced as of now.

Don't forget, although it may seem that there is always a special celebration going on at WDW, sometimes there is not one!

On April 7 after the official opening of EE, there is another media event to announce future projects. If there is something scheduled to replace the HCOE, I think that would be a good time and place to announce it.

Nothing planned as of yet - but we have the 35th Anniversary of WDW on October 1, 2006, so maybe something will come up. Then in 2007, the 25th Anniversary of the opening of Epcot.

Hope we hear something soon.

Fingers crossed they do something extra..... its a busy time with halloween. I will just have to keep on the boards to look for info nearer the time. I hope they keep Cinderellabration, we LOVED that.

The castle cake took a while to dismantle. However the cake was far more incolved than the current decorations. In that case much of the castle had actually been painted pink.

Originally it was to run through early November 2006, but that was changed a while ago, with an end date now for the celebration of September 30.

I dont know anything officially but I would assume they will come down quite quickly. Unlike when they go up, they will not have to worry about bolting in, and safety checking everything.

I would suspect less than 1 week for the castle to be returned to form.

We are arriving on Sept 30th too! We are staying until Oct. 10th, but We are for sure going to the MK that first day. I am so afraid I won't get to see the castle all decked out for the HCOE! I know, silly, lol!

I thought that the celebration started on 5.5.05. How did you see anything in April 2005?

They were doing soft runs of Cinderellabration in April, though it didn't officially open til May.

And, there were soft openings of both LMA and Soarin' as early as the third week of March.

Back to the topic, I'd just be guessing, but I'd bet we get the normal lag between celebrations (like post Milennium, post 100 years, etc.) and then the next one kicks off as Epcot's 25th. Sometime between Spring and the actual 25th anniversary in October. Although it will be harder to incorporate that celebration into all of the parks.

We're seriosly HOPING for a 35th b-day party starting 10/1/06 @ WDW. My b-day is 10/6/71 so WDW is only 5 days older that me! We're planning to do a weekend trip for MY 35th b-day this year & hoping Disney's is celebrating too! That would be the end of their 18 mos. for HCOE - DL 50th.

They seem to ALWAYS have SOMETHING to celebrate, so here's hoping....

We saw the Cinderellabration last year in April also. All of the other Celebration attractions were still under construction. Remember EE is still not really open even though our family rode it like 6x last week.
