We love DVC , haven't had a disappointing stay yet, and our only true regret is that we didn't buy in sooner. :)

Having said that however, if we were asked for our thoughts on ways to improve DVC, we would offer the following:

1. Improve the member website to be able to view / confirm waitlists, check availaibility (I understand that actually booking a reservation might always have to be via phone), directly purchase Member merchandise, perhaps make Dining Reservations, purchase park tickets, etc.

MS also needs to have the option of sending confirmations via email sooner rather than later. I know they are thinking about it, because I've completed phone surveys about it. :cool1:

2. Offer an efficient method to report and track problems.

One solution might be a multi-part Inspection or Incidence form that could be left in the rooms. Guests would record the room number and note the problems or issues, keep a copy and drop the remainder off at the front desk. The responding CM would then sign off on completion and a copy is returned to the room to alert the guest of the resolution.

These forms could then be logged, tracked and monitored so that items needing attention do not fall through the cracks.

We've been very pleased with our DVC stays so far and look forward to many more! :)

Now that is a great idea :thumbsup2

Expand the Concierge Collection to include at least one nice hotel in the Major US Cities.

Currently there are no offerings in
Dallas - St Louis - Kansas City - Atlanta
Nashville – Houston – Philadelphia – Cincinnati – Denver, etc.
Also, negotiating better (lower) point requirements for these options would be great too.

Peace,

Great ideas! I would add:

* Don't send expensive marketing mailings to members! I would gladly trade those for a little better service. I don't like feeling second class to hotels stays with sharp limits on towels and maid service.

Check outs at noon. I know the units are bigger than normal hotel rooms, but 11 am is just too early for me!

I agree that housekeeping and maintenance are areas that need improving. The maids simply are not going to report problems. The check list sounds like a good idea.

Some of the things I wanted them to improve, they did with the AKV, so hopefully they listened. :)

This is a GREAT idea--with all due respect, the last giclee print went on eBay before I even unwrapped it. Hey, it paid for . . . half a dinner entree in the World!

STOP BUILDING MORE DVC UNITS!!!

WDW is wonderful, but there is just too many people in the area, they need to slow down the building of hotels, not just DVC, add restaurants, and maybe even another park! But DVC isn't exclusive anymore, between renting and the amount of owners, its huge! I find gatherings are just too kaotic because of the size of membership.

Well I am sorry to say that is not going to happen, I was told there are 5 future projects.

I wish DVC would offer cost free Lobotomies to approprimately 30% of members who choice to complain about things they shouldn't complain about.

:rotfl2:

Disney is a business....

Discounts on park tickets, not just annual passes and free cover charges at Jellyrolls!

I think it would be helpful if we received discounts on tickets other then the yearly pass. On years we don't get to go more then once within a years time its not worth the money. Would be nice to get a discount on 5 day or 7 day passes.....

diznyfanatic, Your suggestions would have been my first two.

I might add these two little pet peeves....

*Sheets that are big enough to actually cover the mattress!!! Fitted would be nice too!

*Towels that aren't like sand paper. I shouldn't have to bring my own washcloth to a 'deluxe' resort.

Enforce the rules that you write or change them.

HBO or at least Pay Per View. Not all the studios have vcrs and it's nice to just turn on the tv when the kids are asleep and pick out a movie.

Provide some sort of nightstand or small table on the wall side of the queen bed in all of the studios so that whoever sleeps on that side of the bed has a place to put their glasses, watch, etc. at night.
