keep checking!
last week i changed my booking over from CR club level to AKL club level and asked about any AP rates. i got told there weren't any AP rates available for the room type i was booking. :sad1:
ive just been messing around on the AP section of disneyworld.com and found that there was an AP rate available for my club level room, have just rung them and they're refunding $169 onto my card!! (was happy to pay the original rate but even happier now!!) :woohoo: :cheer2:

lesson to be learnt,
keep checking the AP site!! you may get a pleasant surprise!!!!!!!!

i'm really happy at the mo but i can't share the excitement with DH because he doesnt know we're staying there! so dancing with you guys!!:woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2:

I had a similar situation last week. My original ressie was for OKW (2br villa) w/dining & was told no availability for AP rate. So I went online & there I could get SSR (2br villa) w/dining at the AP rate. Called back --- got a very rude agent!! --- & was told NO, no such code anywhere for my time. Explained I could get the code online. To which he replied "then just do it online" in a very snooty tone!!! So now I have 2 ressies & of course will cancel one. That guy really got me mad!! I was just looking for clarification. We'd save $200 with SSR, so we will probably go with that one.

I had a similar thing happen to me just this morning when I tried to apply the AP discount to an existing reservation. THREE different CMs told me they couldn't and I said it was on their Website and they told me to book it on line. When I did that and has to cancel the first one, the CM took forever and asked why I booked 2 reservations and just didn't call!! It was like the Twilight Zone. I hope all is correct. I do have an email confirm for the online reservation, they took another deposit and wouldn't transfer the old deposit to the new reservation (to make my deposit more) They had to refund it. Never heard of such a runaround. They did charge my credit card, but no credit as of yet. Quick to take the money, slow to return it! I then emailed WDW and explained the whole thing. I want to make sure all is well and let them be aware of all the wasted time and basic rudeness.

I know!!! It's crazy!!! I haven't called to cancel the first one yet. Waiting for all to agree on SSR. I put a deposit on both. Guess I'm in for a treat when I call to cancel! If they give me a hard time, I'm asking for a supervisor. I have names & dates!!! ;) I can even add that I talked to an agent online! She's the one who researched it for me & said there is a valid code for AP w/dining & that I should just call back, give the code & there should be no problem applying it to my EXISTING reservation! :confused3 :confused3

I still haven't heard back in reply to my email. I did check my 2 reservations that I need to keep and both are out there online. I did get a confirm when I made the online reservation and basically a lecture to cancel the one the other 3 (one supposedly a supervisor) said I couldn't make. Good Luck with yours! Never such an issue. Before all the internet info, years ago, the CM you spoke with would ASK you if you had an AP so you could receive a discount!!

did you book through the AP website? I am asking because we are getting aps for our dec trip (don't have them yet and going to do will call) and right now we are staying at ssr on pts 12/1-12/5 and they cash at asmo 12/5-12/7, however if I can get a good rate I'd rather just stay at ssr.

i booked through the central reservations office, they only ask that you show the AP at check in to prove you have one.

Quick question for those having CM problems with booking, were you booking through the XXX-XXX-PASS line or through standard CRO. I have found the CMs at the PASS line to be much more knowledgeable and very helpful. One thing to remember is that often the CMs cannot see all the possibilities and have to go to a second screen or search differently to see a particular available reservation.

Yes it was on the AP portion of the Disney website.

Unfortunately, my conversations were on the AP line. Each one stated that they "thoroughly" searched all available info. The other was on the website with an agent online. That was probably the standard. She was the most helpful. She too searched for quite awhile & asked her supervisor. Luckily, she found the code & gave me the info.

Is anyone else still having problems?:confused3

I have had a reservation since the end of May, waited for an AP code, called the first day it was out and it was already not available. My dates are coming up at the AS Movies, 9/12-/921/08. I have called every day, tried to use AP code, Gen Public code, Visa code. Each one was for my travel dates and nothing. I do NOT have dining either, room only. Where is it that the AP code can be entered when booking on line. I have yet to see where a code can be plugged in or I would check on line instead of calling. I agree that some of the reps are fantastic and some are somewhat snobby. I have been made to feel like I should be happy they I have a reservation at all. This will be my third trip this year and I do not feel I should be made to feel like it is wrong to try and save money. Picking a value was to try and go less expensive for the third time, not to be cheap.
If anyone can tell me where they are finding the online reservation that can have a code plugged in, please inform. Thanks.

When you book online, there is NO place to enter a code. You go the the Passholders section of the site. On the first page, you select which offer you want to apply. The one I chose was SXS for villas. When you accept a quote, & continue to the next page after you "accept this offer" it automatically applies a code. It does not say what code it is---example SXS. You can cancel before you enter your credit card info. It is NOT a reservation until you complete all pages & you are given a confirmation number. I hope this didn't sound too confusing! Good luck!

Since we aren't planning on purchasing our AP's until we arrive in Disney in December is there anyway to get on the AP website to look up AP rates online? (It says I need to put in my AP number but I don't have the card yet)! I have tried calling daily and they dont have availability for our dates but I would prefer to try it online instead of wasting time calling everyday!

You have to have either a AP or an AP Voucher to look online. What I did in the spring was purchase one AP Voucher and had it shipped to me so I had it available. Then I purchased the second AP we needed when we arrived at Disney. It let me get online, plus it let me spread out the cost a little bit.

Thought I'd report back. Since I have my confirmation firmly in hand, I called today to cancel my original reservation. I was all set to get a lecture about having 2 reservations, etc....but nothing! Just a very nice lady who cancelled it, stated that my cc would be credited with the refund & asked if there was anything else she could do for me!:) How refreshing after the problems earlier!!!:thumbsup2 Prior to cancelling, she added our flight info to the current ressie, so she was aware of having the two. Yes, I double checked that she cancelled the right one!!!:rotfl:

I'm glad to hear that you had a good experience in cancelling the reservation. We really should never have had to make the additional reservation anyway. WDW did respond to my email as to why the run around. In their response they only stated my remaining reservation was fine and that I would receive my refund. They never responded to the problem I had in making the reservation on their phone system. THat portion of my email was ignored completely and when I requestioned it no one replied. Maybe they don't care. I don't know. At least we do have our correct reservations and hopefully everything will go smooth. Have a wonderful trip to WDW!!

I have a split stay AP reservation in place - for a mod and a deluxe. I have been checking AP prices every day for the past 3 weeks (and prior to that off and on). I am actually so very glad I booked my rooms when I did because as of yesterday, the AP site is only showing what appear to be rack rates for my dates in mid-Oct. The prices have shot up drastically!

I had a water view booked at BC for 375 pn AP. I didn't want water view, but that's all they had for BC and YC. I had been trying to get a standard view for considerably less as views do not matter to me. Yesterday, I was so excited when a standard view at BC popped up on the AP site. I ran to get my cc card, when I noticed standard was 370 pn AP. That's rack! And my water view is now showing $470 pn! That's also rack, what gives? So I began to check the values, mods, and other deluxe and keep coming up with rack rates on the AP site.

Like I said, this change occurred yesterday (Thursday) morning when the AP site added a new "offer" for mod resorts - only good luck trying to get the rate.

Now if Disney really wanted to be nice to us, they would allow us to cancel our reservations online like SWA does. :) Less phone calls for us and them.

WDW must just set aside a certain number of rooms and that's it. I know when I booked a value the day the rates came out, the 54/night wasn't posted for those first 2 weeks of Oct but it was a few days later. We had to rebook via internet since the CMs on the phone wouldn't apply the code to our entire reservation. We do have the 54/night for the entire time now.

I originally had 1 night at ASsports rack for 99/night. When the AP rates came out, I could not get the 54/night, I assumed, because it was a Saturday for one night only. However, a few days later, I was able to snag a mod for 99/night, same price as the value. I was thrilled. Then one day, and it was one or two days only, like you experienced, ASsports came up as 54 for the one night. I was shocked. I hem hawed... should I snap it up or should I stay put. I decided to stay put at the 99/night mod. Checking now, the mod I booked is a lot more than 99/night, it was coming up 165 today and the value is 99/night. Like I said, I'm so glad I was watching.
