If Soarin didn't exist...

Would you do Living with the Land if Soarin didn't exist?

  • Yes - LwtL is a fun attraction in its own right

  • Yes - but not every visit

  • No - I wouldn't do this even while waiting for Soarin

  • No - I didn't even realize there was another attraction in that building

Another YES vote here - we LOVE Living with the Land. We ride it every trip :-)

Now, Circle of Life, we don't usually do that unless it's hot and we need an AC break.

I'm one of the ones who went to Soarin' and skipped the rest. Kids liked Soarin', I thought it was cool for a one time but I can't see doing it again. So what am I missing at LWTL? I really am not sure what is there.

We ALWAYS ride LWTL!!! It's a little bit of a running joke with our family, but it's a nice break from all the other hustle and bustle.

I don't do Soarin' at WDW because I can do the exact same ride at DLR, plus the one at EPCOT always has an insanely long line. But Living with the Land is a must do! :thumbsup2

My whole family loves Living With The Land!!!

We ride it at least once per trip!!

Yes, I would happily ride Living with the Land...one of my favorite rides.

I would also be enjoying my singing fruits and veggies...

Living with the Land is my favorite ride/attraction in all of WDW - so YES I would still go!

I love LWTL. Rode it many times before Soarin' was even on the drawing board. Like others I also miss Kitchen Kabaret but hated Food Rocks. We'll sit through Circle of Life every other trip. I actually liked Symbiosis back in the day.

I would. We actually have went over to the Land and road LWTL several times and skipped Soarin if the line was long (more than 20 min) or FP were too far out for us to use.

We missed LWTL one year when it was under refurb and I was really suprised at how much I did miss it, it's one of my fav attractions at Epcot. With the poor quality in Soarin right now LWTL is about to top that on my list of must do's.

Circle of Life is a joke, did it for the first time last trip (only attraction in all 4 parks we had not done) and it was awful. Loud, the script was just eye rolling inducing and the theater wasn't even that comfy. I can put up with some boring attractions (sounds dangerous I'm talking about you) if the seats are comfy and it gives us a break but I don't think CoL is one of them.

I actually did LWTL twice on our first trip because DH slept in on our Epcot Day (it was his birthday, after all!) and we did it in the morning without him, and then later I wanted to show it to him so we did it again and loved it.

I really wanted to do the Behind the Seeds tour this next trip but it wasn't to be.

I love LWTL! I think it's just a nice interesting, relaxing ride! If there is not much of a line we will ride it 2x in a row. It's just a nice break during the day, especially in the summer! A few years ago it had an unexpected refurb during our trip, and I was really disappointed. Can't wait to ride it in 2 weeks!

Heck yeah! Love that ride. It just about the last attraction representing "hard science" in all of FW. I always thought that was what FW was supposed to be about. IMHO.

Results are pretty conclusive at this point, but you do still have 2 days to vote.

I voted No - I wouldn't do this even while waiting for Soarin.. that is only because believe it or not I don't do rides , that is why I love Disney the family go on rides and I walk around check out everything!

I've always loved LWTL and I am still bummed that they replaced the real human tour guide with canned narration. You used to get a different experience each time you rode, depending on the interest and expertise of your guide. It's really lost something but I still ride it at least twice on every trip.

As someone upthread said, it's one of the last "educational" attractions remaining from the original Epcot. (RIP Wonders of Life, upstairs Imagination pavilions.)

I have done the Behind the Seeds tour and that was really cool, so I'm always on the lookout for stuff that they talked about on that tour while I'm riding in the boat. For example, they get those baby alligators from an alligator farm, and when they get too big, the farm comes & gets them and gives them new babies. Someone asked what the farm did with the big alligators and the guide said he didn't know, as they were not Disney property. I think I know but there were kids on our tour so I shut up......

Would anybody ride Living with the Land? Discuss.... :surfweb:

Absolutely! I've been on LWTL on every trip since the park opened-never miss it! I do miss the original version with the CM tour guide and that really catchy song, but I still enjoy the ride. :)

If Soarin' was not there, I would still be heading to that Pavilion every trip to catch LWTL, the Lion King attraction, and my beloved Food Rocks!! :cool1:
