If only Tinker Bell was related to the tooth fairy... (FINISHED 4/26)

Good work, Don! Another update with minimal prodding. :lmao:

I have managed to slyly approach a CM without DW's knowledge and gain information on how to get to the bus stop.
Excellent plan! :thumbsup2

After waiting for about 10 minutes, we realized the line was not moving. We had better things to do than waiting in a long line to get a picture and a signature... even though Buzz is one of my favorites. Oh well. Out of the line we go.
D'oh... too bad. Pixar Place was not very good to you.:headache:

As we "roamed", we somehow ended up in front of Star Tours (gee... wonder how that happened?).
That was some more excellent planning.:thumbsup2

I told DD we'd come back and bring all her friends for her next b-day. OK... so I DIDN'T really say that... but I was thinking it... if we won the lottery :rolleyes1
If you won the lottery, I'd expect more than renting a few tables in the back of a candy store. How about renting the Magic Kingdom and extending an invitation to all the DIS Dads?:confused3

wow!!! another update!!! im getting light headed!!!:lmao: nice pics don!! i never decide which way we go anymore. they claim i can get lost in a shopping bag with directions.:lmao: always play the dumb act, keeps you out of trouble.:thumbsup2

Hmmm... renting Magic Kingdom... now THAT'S an idea! popcorn:: Of course the DIS Dads would be invited! That's a no brainer :)

Don't pass out on me, Dave! :rotfl2: I'm sure gonna miss that camera! Oops... that's a teaser for my 2011 TR. Hehe.
Sometimes playing "dumb" really works out in the end, doesn't it? :cool1:

Don, sorry I missed your update yesterday. I was at lunch with some DIS dads and their boys yesterday and then got behind on all my threads.

Great update! I wonder if now that Star Tours is open again if FastPasses will be easier to get at Toy Story?

We visited the SSR one year and we were very confused and we had a car with us. So I can imagine trying to find a bus (and they talk about the CSR being "spread out!").

That sure is a lot of lollipops. :thumbsup2

DIS Dads are the best, aren't we? :goodvibes Sounds like you had a good time!

I've wondered the same thing. But based on how popular TSM is, I'd venture to say that ST2 hasn't relieved much of the FP traffic. Just my thoughts though.

We did not explore too much while at SSR, but it does seem to be more spread out than CSR. At least with CSR there's a big circle around the lagoon. Just find water and you can figure out where you are! :lmao:

Oh... those darned lollipop displays :headache: DD would eat ALL of them if she was allowed to! :rotfl2:

Starting to look like the Haunted Mansion around here with all these spider webs and crickets. :rolleyes1

I thought you surely would have written an update during your downtime while you were stuck inside the house for a couple of days when Irene was knocking on your door.:lmao::rotfl2:

JULY 25????????????? Are you kidding me? I could probably go on my trip next week, write my TR, and you may have done one update, if any. :scared1::scared1:

I haven't jumped in on your PTR because I'm way behind, but I'll need to find your TR once you get it started. I definitely think you can get it done before Don finishes this one.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Heck, Emma will probably graduate high school before he finishes this TR.

I will be selfishly "pushing" my TR on Barry's TR when I get back. :goodvibes

I think you are right about Emma finishing high school before Don gets around to finishing this. :rolleyes1

Awwww... shucks... You guys are still following this old thing?? :lmao: I thought they would have closed this dusty thread by now. Guess I have to update it and get it done. Maybe I'll get Emma to finish it... :rolleyes1

April 30, 2010

Yawwwwwnnnnn... streeeeetttcccchhhhhh... smack lips... Hmmmm... where am I again? Don't you hate it when you wake up in a hotel room thinking you're in your own bed? It doesn't take long for the brain to start registering the different sounds afforded by a 150 square foot space vs your own bedroom. After a few moments of listening to the A/C unit humming away in the corner I remember where I'm at... and where we are going to today! Woohoo! It's our Magic Kingdom day! I am suddenly sorting out all the sights, sounds and smells that I plan to experience this day... and so now I can hear "great big beautiful tomorrow" while smelling the exhaust of the Indy cars... and feeling the splashing of water from some fun-filled bears... all at once! Can you say... AWESOME!

We all get up and get ready for our day at Magic Kingdom pretty quickly. After a few breakfast items in the room we make our way to the bus stop and get to the park at a little after 9:30am. Didn't make rope drop, but close enough :) Here are few pictures as we are walking in:

Family fun for everyone!

Definitely started out with nice weather...

Had fun with this picture... tried to fit the castle inside the statue:

Can anyone guess where we are going?? Yep... going to Tomorrowland... to get on Space Mountain! Woohooo!!! :woohoo:

OK... i know this picture didn't come out very well... but I really wanted to get a picture inside space mountain with DD. One of my favorite memories are the first time inside the queue of SM with those blue lights and the space theming.

Maybe I'm just getting too old... or just too tall... but that ride really kills my neck and back anymore. I spend more time trying to anticipate which direction the car is going to actually enjoy the ride. Still... it's SPACE MOUNTAIN, Baby!! One day I hope to experience it with lights on :thumbsup2

And the after-ride queue;

Not easy to get a good picture here when the people mover is zipping along:

Next up... TTA! This happend to be one of DD's favorite rides in MK. She she shares this passion with at least one of the DIS Dads here (yeah... I'm looking at you, Dave). I snapped a few pics along the route;

Has anyone ever seen a performance or anything on that stage down there?

After TTA we notice that there is no line for CAP and figured... why not? We get right in and take our seat for our trip through the times. This was DD's first time on CAP... and she really liked it!

If was getting close to lunch time by now and according to our itinerary we were to head over to El Pirata y el Perico (Now known as Tortuga Tavern). This is also a first experience for DD... and she kept saying that she did not like tacos and would not eat ANYTHING. LOL! Here's the evidence that shows contrary:

Yep... she likes tacos now thanks to Disney! +1 to DD for trying something new!

At this point DW wanted to head over to Toon Town to see the fairies at Pixie Hollow. But since we were so close, I suggested we get FPs for BTMR and come back later. The group all agreed and we're soon walking by Splash Mountain. Not sure who these folks are, but I thought they all looked cute going down the big drop:

We decided to take the wood boardwalk that takes you down around Tom Sawyer Island. We met up with this guy just taking in the sights:

It was a nice shortcut walking along the wooden path. Most folks stick to the concrete walk, but if you haven't tried taking the boardwalk before, I highly suggest you try it next time.

With FPs in hand for BTMR, we start making our way back up through Liberty Square towards Fantasyland. In the next couple of installments I'll pay tribute to Mickey and Minnie's houses. For those that enjoyed the wacky decorating habits of our favorite mice you'll enjoy some of the shots we were able to share with you. The rest of you... well... you can go outside and play for a little while. We'll ring the bell when it's time to come back in ;)

Next up: Day 4, Part 2: "Magic Kingdom: Remembering Toon Town - Part 1"

I need a smilie for fainting quick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Now that wasn't so hard, was it? ;)

And a terrific update too and doing some of our favorite things (well, except COP which I sleep through).

Yes, as a matter of fact, we saw Stitch, Pluto, Goofy, Chip & Dale perform on that stage when we were there last September doing a dance party. It was awesome...they came out and danced with the audience.
