Yawwwwwnnnnn... streeeeetttcccchhhhhh... smack lips... Hmmmm... where am I again? Don't you hate it when you wake up in a hotel room thinking you're in your own bed? It doesn't take long for the brain to start registering the different sounds afforded by a 150 square foot space vs your own bedroom. After a few moments of listening to the A/C unit humming away in the corner I remember where I'm at... and where we are going to today! Woohoo! It's our Magic Kingdom day! I am suddenly sorting out all the sights, sounds and smells that I plan to experience this day... and so now I can hear "great big beautiful tomorrow" while smelling the exhaust of the Indy cars... and feeling the splashing of water from some fun-filled bears... all at once! Can you say... AWESOME!
We all get up and get ready for our day at Magic Kingdom pretty quickly. After a few breakfast items in the room we make our way to the bus stop and get to the park at a little after 9:30am. Didn't make rope drop, but close enough

Here are few pictures as we are walking in:
Family fun for everyone!
Definitely started out with nice weather...
Had fun with this picture... tried to fit the castle inside the statue:
Can anyone guess where we are going?? Yep... going to Tomorrowland... to get on Space Mountain! Woohooo!!!
OK... i know this picture didn't come out very well... but I really wanted to get a picture inside space mountain with DD. One of my favorite memories are the first time inside the queue of SM with those blue lights and the space theming.
Maybe I'm just getting too old... or just too tall... but that ride really kills my neck and back anymore. I spend more time trying to anticipate which direction the car is going to actually enjoy the ride. Still... it's SPACE MOUNTAIN, Baby!! One day I hope to experience it with lights on
And the after-ride queue;
Not easy to get a good picture here when the people mover is zipping along:
Next up... TTA! This happend to be one of DD's favorite rides in MK. She she shares this passion with at least one of the DIS Dads here (yeah... I'm looking at you, Dave). I snapped a few pics along the route;
Has anyone ever seen a performance or anything on that stage down there?
After TTA we notice that there is no line for CAP and figured... why not? We get right in and take our seat for our trip through the times. This was DD's first time on CAP... and she really liked it!
If was getting close to lunch time by now and according to our itinerary we were to head over to El Pirata y el Perico (Now known as Tortuga Tavern). This is also a first experience for DD... and she kept saying that she did not like tacos and would not eat ANYTHING. LOL! Here's the evidence that shows contrary:
Yep... she likes tacos now thanks to Disney! +1 to DD for trying something new!
At this point DW wanted to head over to Toon Town to see the fairies at Pixie Hollow. But since we were so close, I suggested we get FPs for BTMR and come back later. The group all agreed and we're soon walking by Splash Mountain. Not sure who these folks are, but I thought they all looked cute going down the big drop:
We decided to take the wood boardwalk that takes you down around Tom Sawyer Island. We met up with this guy just taking in the sights:
It was a nice shortcut walking along the wooden path. Most folks stick to the concrete walk, but if you haven't tried taking the boardwalk before, I highly suggest you try it next time.
With FPs in hand for BTMR, we start making our way back up through Liberty Square towards Fantasyland. In the next couple of installments I'll pay tribute to Mickey and Minnie's houses. For those that enjoyed the wacky decorating habits of our favorite mice you'll enjoy some of the shots we were able to share with you. The rest of you... well... you can go outside and play for a little while. We'll ring the bell when it's time to come back in
