Okay this is a REALLY dumb question but - if you buy a cheaper MP3 player (instead of an IPOD) how do you buy music for it? Am I to understand that itunes only works for IPODS??
Amazon is often cheaper and when you buy you can select it either to be saved in iTunes or Windows Media Player.
I have an Ipod so I do use Itunes but got a REALLY good deal on some mp3 players for my kids ($4.99). Windows Media Player will let you create playlists just like Itunes and will recognize your device and sync (again like Itunes). I have 2 separate big music libraries on my computer but it's not a hassle at all.
It's simple....you download from Itunes. Then once it is in your library, right click the song & click "Create MP3 Version". Once it is an MP3, it can be placed on any MP3 player. But as others have posted, amazon, walmart & many others have sites where you can buy songs that are already in mp3 format. Merry Christmas & enjoy your new toy!
Great question.
I have a sansa MP3 player and we just bought dd an ipod. If I buy from itunes songs for dd's ipod then can i convert it to mp3 version or is it one or the other only? I'd hate to buy the same music in two different versions.
