I had originally planned to go to Fulton's and order the Crab and Lobster Experience for Two, but I have read two negative reviews so far, so I am questioning my choice. :sad2: Any other romantic DTD restaurants you would suggest? :confused3
We will be returning from the cruise that day and we planned on shopping a little, having a nice dinner and then going to PI.
P.S. I was *really* looking forward to lobster!
Thanks!

The best place for lobster is...

... New England! Come visit us in Boston! :teeth:

You may have read my review. I did a "formal" review on this board, but I posted just recently on the "what was your worst dining experience" or whatever that thread is called.

We do not mind paying good money for good food. But the dish we got...the crab and lobster experience for two, was a rip off. I mean, it was not worth half the price, IMHO. Now...I am sure there are probably other items at Fulton's that are good...but I will never know as I refuse to ever spend another penny there. I have had SUPERB meals at WDW, and some "eh" meals, but that one stands out as the biggest rip off.

I am sorry, but I cannot direct you toward a lobster dish at a WDW restaurant...I have not ordered it anywhere but Fulton's. I will say that I do not have first hand experience but I keep hearing marvelous things about Flying Fish at the Bopardwalk. We plan on trying it soon.

Good luck and have fun!

I really liked Portobello's Yacht Club at DTD...and ironically, I believe it is owned by the same group that owns Fulton's!

I second Portabello's! It was awesome!

 I guess I am in the minority, because DH and I really enjoyed the crab claws at Fultons. We went the last two times we were there, it was during value season and was not busy, we had good service and we thought the food was good. I guess being from the midwest we (DH and I) think all seafood is good. :confused3

We live in Maine...home of the Maine lobster. We generally won't order lobster in Florida or anywhere else outside of New England. We have had some interesting "stuff" served to us and labeled lobster. Once on a cruise ship I think they stuffed tuna salad into a lobster's carcass. :sad2: Maybe the crew ate the real lobster out of it first. :confused3 I would second the vote for Portobello Yacht Club.

We loved Fulton's, it was by far the best meal of our trip and we are going back for our Anniversary dinner. We both had the king crab leg and lobster tail combo and it was out of this world! As with any restaurant, you will always find both good and bad reviews, most people on these boards rave about the Cal. Grill, but we found it overpriced, noisy and the food was just OK, nothing special at all. I say try some new places that you want to, and go back to a few that you know are good. To each their own!

Fulton's is a yearly tradition for us! Most of the time we get the same thing (well, I do). I've never had the carb/lobster experience for 2, but I have had the King Crab Claws and the lobster. I ask them to broil the lobster (they normally grill it, I think). Perfect! The Dungeness Crabs are good as well. The crab cakes are awful..like rubbery tires. Shrimp cocktail and fried shrimp are excellent, too. 3-4 x we've been there and never a problem. Always great service. The first night we arrive we have PS's for Fulton's! For DH, myself, DD 9 and DD 2 our tab (w/o tip) runs around $110-$135. If it wasn't good, my DH wouldn't spend that on one meal! And if for some reason there's a problem (food not cooked right or whatever) bring it to the server's attention. Nobody is perfect, but if they don't know something is wrong, they can't fix it. It's a really nice place and I love the atmosphere! Just don't sit outside in case of a thunderstorm.

I have seen the experience for 2, didn't look that appealing to me.(Don't care for the whole lobster) But we do go to Fulton's every trip, last time twice! I always order the Australian Lobster Tail, and my husband orders the Filet Mignon. And i think both of those entrees are very good!

Would you consider Todd English's Bluezoo at the Dolphin? I hear it's very pricey, but for a special romantic dinner, it might be nice - I have friends who've raved about the food ...and then you could walk over to the Boardwalk after for a little hand holding!

(Cheers for romance at WDW!!!)

Fulton's is one of our favorite restaurants. It's a must do at least once every trip. I wouldn't change your plans just because of someone else's review. Try it for yourself you never know. I've never had the crab and lobster for two but everything else Dbf and I have had was delicious!!!

We eat at Fultons every trip-Dh loves it. I dont eat seafood so I always let him pick a restaurant where he cane get his faves. He always gets lobster! We enjoy Fulton's food and service. Take opinions with a grain of salt-if you were interested in trying it, go for it.

We went to Fulton's on our honeymoon and thought it was one of the best meals of our trip. We went again this past February and it was by far the worst. I find their prices to be too high for them to provide anything but exceptional food.

We really like the Portobello Yacht Club. Everything we've had there (for lunch and dinner) has been very good.

I thought Wolfgang Puck's Dining Room (upstairs) was exellent and romantic. Although we haven't been there in several years, so you may want other opinions on that.

Best lobster tail I've had at WDW - Le Cellier Steakhouse. However, last time I went it was not available.

We ate at Fulton's for our anniversary last month. Almost changed the my mind because of reviews I had read as well....am I glad I didn't. It was an awesome meal. DH had filet and lobster. I had crab and lobster. Excellent food, excellent service.

We love Fultons. My husband loves their lobster. We havent had bad service there. We will continue to eat there on every trip.
