If I'm walking down Main Street.....

from the WDW MK entrance to the castle, what is the order in which I will encounter the different shops on both the left and the right sides of Main Street? My wife and I are having some confusion as to where the barber shop is, and with all the old maps and books we have, none of them give a detailed location of where each shop is on Main Street. We're wanting current shop locations. I know there will be someone here who knows this info inside and out! Thanks for any help!

The barbershop is to the left when you walk into MK. If you are standing at the flag pole look to your left and you will see the Emporium. To the left of that is the barbershop and the car barn.

When walking down Main Street, food shops are on the right, gift stores are on the left. Theory being you want food as you come in and gifts as you leave the park.

If you go under the train station on the lefthand side (Monorail station side, not bus station side) the barber shop will be almost directly in front of you. Walk past City Hall and the restrooms and you'll see the barber shop straight ahead.

The barber shop used to be located about 1/2 way down Main street, behind the Emporium. They moved it when they decided to fill in that section with a building which now houses more of the Emporium.

There are shops on the right hand side of the street, looking down towards the castle. The hat shop is next to the candy store, with the glass shop on the other side. The Uptown Jewelry shop is a little farther down ~ I have a thing for watches, so I always stop in there.

We got back a few weeks ago, and had a bit of a time finding the barber shop, but yes, its hidden in an out-of-the-way spot next to the car barn, across the street from the fire station. I thought it was somewhere else the last time we were there! Glad I'm not going crazy! That little alleyway where it used to be was always one of my favorite spots on Main Street. We always took our family picture by the flower cart. This time even that was gone. By the way, did they completely eliminate the photo studio that used to be on the right hand side of the street as you enter? Years ago we had our family group picture taken there, dressed in old fashioned clothes. We're all going back next year & originally thought it would be neat to do it again with the new family members added, but if it's gone....I guess not.

The photo studio is now located inside the hospitality house. It is directly across the square from City Hall in the same building as Tony's Town Square Cafe.
