if I upgrade a PH to an AP will I lose my FP+ selections?

If I book my FP+'s with a park hopper and then upgrade to an AP once I'm at WDW will I lose my pre selected FP+'s?

Technically no you won't lose them. There is a way for them to transfer everything. Personally we did exactly that in September, and it kept the fast passes for me, but erased my husbands and sons by accident.

That said - they did an amazing job and were able to not only copy all of my fast passes to them (even the hard to get ones) but also gave each of them a bunch of freebie fast passes to use for whatever we wanted in any of the parks.

so it's something that the CM does when you change over the ticket? Did it take a long time? I don't want the people behind me in line getting ready to lynch me.

I can understand that!! We switched them originally at the customer service before entering the park. We didn't notice until later that the fp didn't change over correctly. We were at HS, and a really helpful CM assisted us, and they called in another person to help out while he was helping us. So thankfully no bloodshed!
