If I stay one night using AP rate....

You do not need the actual AP to check in, just the voucher, but the resort has the right to require you to return with the AP before you check out if you do not want to pay full rate (most of the time the voucher is all that is needed)

That is good to know. We are going to DTD our first night to get our vouchers switched over but didn't really want to have to go to DTD before check in as well. This will save alot of time.

We just returned from 2 nites at Coronado on an AP rate, and they never asked to see the AP. I think I have only been asked to see it once out of about 20 stays. I have always had it with me, except this last trip we checked in before we went to get our new passes.

I've stayed at many resorts on AP rates over the years and I can't remember one time when they asked to actually see my AP. That's not to say it can't happen, but hasn't to me yet.
