I may be looking to sell our DVC contract. Can someone recommend a timeshare closing service?

Why don't you just sell it yourself? Advertise on Tug2.net & find a closing company to handle the transaction? Why pay a realtor the commission?

When we bought our OKW contract we used Pat Spell at The Timeshare Store. Very professional, prompt and easy to work with.

If you need a full service broker there are many. If you have a buyer and just need closing, the choices are not as clear cut but I'd say Timeshare Transfers would be my first thought.

As a seller, I found the Timeshare Store to be very easy to work with. I sent in my paperwork on Thursday--they couldn't have received it before Monday, but my contract was sold by Wednesday! And at the price I wanted! It was BCV, by the way. I haven't had to do anything except sign a couple of papers, so I was very pleased with how painless it was. Now I also have my DD's contract--all I have to do is transfer the contract to me, and it's like trying to buy Fort Knox!! It was sure a lot easier to sell a contract, than it was to transfer one.

Richard, if you already have a buyer, and are looking for recommendations for a closing company (law firm to handle closing paperwork), the two that i have heard of (and personally have worked with - through a broker though) are
Timeshare Closing Services and Holland & Knight

those 2 are closing companies that are commonly used by the DVC brokers that you often see recommended on this board.

if you would prefer to have a broker handle all the sale details (advertising, finding a buyer, price negotiation, paperwork, etc), then i can highly recommend Shontell Crawford of DVC By Resales, who handled the sale of one of my DVC contracts very promptly and professionally.

i do believe that all of the DVC brokers have recently increased their sales commissions, so i suggest you contact them all for details on that.
