If I rent Points can I still get a premium package?

I just had a question on renting points to stay at WDW. I thought I would be able to purchase MYW Park Hopper through the DVR I was renting from. And can I upgrade to a Premium Package through a DVR? Or is it only Deluxe Meal Plan is the most I can get. Any response would be great.

You can't purchase tickets through a member.

DVC offers the basic dining plan and the deluxe dining plan, plus a daily wine add-on. DVC does not offer ticket/dining packages.

The dining plan is not linked to the purchase of tickets when going through DVC. The DVC member just needs to tell member services which plan you want within 48 hours of your stay. (You may even be able to call and add it on yourself once the member has made the reservation. - We did that in 2006, but they may not allow that anymore.) You won't pay for the dining until you check in. (or at least that is how it worked in 06).

Oh, as for tickets you will need to purchase them yourselves either ahead of time through Disney or a discount broker (they generally have decent deals), or from Disney when you get there.

It sounds like you may not fully understand the renting process. You are basically renting a reservation from a private owner. Disney has NOTHING to do with the transaction. Only the owner can contact member services to make arrangements for Magical Express or the dining program.
