If I make ressies for 2016 with dining plan....

first, can I make a ressie with the dining plan at this point for January 2016?
2) if or when I put the $200 deposit on a dining pkg I'm paying for, not free dining, will I still be able to apply a room only code for 25-30% off the room later?

As long as you are paying for the dining plan and you have no other discounts/special offers on your reservation, you can apply the room rate discount to the room rate portion of your package as long as your resort and room category are included and there is availability. If another special comes out you will have to do the math and decide which one would be better because you cannot stack discounts.

The pp answered your question about applying a discount, but I wanted to mention that packages for 2016 can't be booked until the new rates are out, which should be sometime this summer. RO can be booked 499 days out, but packages can only be booked when the new rates are released.
