If "Frozen Ever After" is a Tier 1 FP+?

What is your Tier 1 pick at Epcot if Frozen Ever After is added as a Tier 1?

Also something to think about whether the A & E meet and greet will be a FP+ option. I know the princesses traditionally aren't in Epcot but since Anna and Elsa are still seeing massive waits in MK, they might need to do a FP+ option in Epcot. If the tier 1 becomes so top heavy, it almost makes sense to just do away with the tiers at Epcot.

That's a good point, what FP do you pick if you are trying to do the M&G and ride the new ride? Hmm.

I could see them moving stuff to Tier 2 before I could see them taking Tier 1 away. The rides at Epcot seems so extreme in popularity, some are so popular and some are not.

Great point. That would actually make a lot of sense since otherwise it will be a 3 hour wait for the ride and a 3 hour wait for the M&G. And for those of us with little ones (or even big ones) who adore the movie that is a big chunk of your day to be waiting for 2 things.

I went with Test Track, but it could just as easily been Soarin' because I have middle school and high school sons who aren't at all interested in Frozen anything. I'll ride it eventually, but I don't think that my sons and DH would thank me for wasting a FP on it lol

I voted frozen because it will be new and have a long line. I usually skip Soarin most trips and may not ride it again until it gets a new movie. I rode TT and MS a couple of years ago when my whole family went to WDW, and can happily skip them again also!

Test Track for sure. The Frozen ride isn't something I'll cry about if I miss it, and hopefully Soarin' will have shorter lines once the capacity is soon increased by 50%.

My prediction is that the breakfast at Akershus will include an AE M&G opportunity and ride on FEA, all for one great price. I figure it's a way to charge for FP without actually charging for it, more like a "validating parking" strategy.

I would be happy if they swapped A&E in for Belle at this meal. They could make it a 2 TS meal. Overall I would have preferred to keep WS and put Frozen elsewhere. But, I have a DD who loves Frozen and it's already decided so may as well join them. So we would pick Frozen and hope to RD Soarin and TT with minimal waits.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Epcot tiering will still be there a year from now and it will probably look like this:

TIER ONE:
Test Track
Soarin'
Frozen Ever After
Meet Anna & Elsa at the Royal Sommerhus
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

TIER TWO:
Mission: SPACE
Spaceship Earth
Living with the Land
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Turtle Talk with Crush
Journey Into Imagination with Figment
Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot

(notice one show not on this list?;) Not saying anymore than that...)

I could see them bumping the number of tier one allotments up by one as a very remote possibility. I know that's the tentative plan for DHS after its major redo.

LWTL only became tier one when they axed Maelstrom. I have never not been able to walk on LWTL. I assume once Frozen is open, it will bump Land would of tier one.

I'd FP+ Soaring, and hope that LWTL moves to Tier 2 (not interested in Frozen at all). I'm hoping to go around the time that the Frozen ride opens, so I'm looking forward to seeing what it does to the other lines.

We'd FP Frozen because of the horrible capacity. There is no way we'd be able to ride it without a FP. I would make the FP for the afternoon and hit Test Track first thing in the morning and then maybe Soarin (but we aren't too impressed with that ride anymore).

So if this is tier 1, what would they make the new A&E meet and greet? Everything can't be tier 1.

Everything CAN be tier one. That's the dream of everyone for one day to have Epcot and Hollywood Studios be a single tier. "Pick 3" from a selection of all rides in the park just like at Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.

Well then this would be the time to make everything a single tier when the Frozen attractions are added. As the mom of a 4 year old girl, I'd hate to have to pick between meeting Anna and Elsa and experiencing their ride.

If it's like the Mermaid ride in MK it's going to have a pretty fast moving que so I'll stick with Soarin

Most likely not since it is a boat ride. And I hear the load and unload will be in the same area so it will be slow loading.

Did they not remove the old boats?

I'm sure I saw a post with pictures of boats on a trailer.

With this in mind could the new boats not add some capacity somehow?

Also if they were able to rehash the load and unload area and make it possible to load multiple boats at once, and then space the loaded boats, like they do with POTC, that could help.

It is going to get very messy if the ride is only cycling 900 per hour. Even if they gave two thirds of the capacity to fastpass it only allows 3600 guests to experience the attraction with standby daily. Typically fastpass takes between 75% and 90% does it not?

This is going to have 4 or 5 hour waits.

I was wondering that too, I remember that picture. Sounds like they are using them, so they must have been taking them to be refurbished somewhere I guess.
