If buying a DVC resort only for yourself, which would you want to own?

1. VGC
2. VGC
3 VDHVGC

Our initial plan was to go 300 to 400 points at do 150 to 200 at the new Disneyland Tower. But location, style, and just love for VGC plus the fear of likely resale restrictions made us just say lets YOLO and go for 500 ish at VGC. Going to suck when we use these points for Hawaii or WDW stays but 95% of the time we'll be at VGC and that's just fine by us :)

I am going to pretend you never said this. :rolleyes1

Purely economics. Looking forward to a stay in CCV, BLT (I hope those are right) and Hawaii look amazing :) Just the cost of points at VGC makes it hard to spend those points at other resorts. Sometime in the future when we can afford "SAP" we likely will pickup some CCV or AUL points :)

Same thing I already own, Poly. Feel sorry for everyone that had to consider things like children and loved ones when making this decision 🤣🤣🤣 (KIDDING!)

No feel-sorry wasted on us. We both wanted VGF and no other.

Interestingly, we've disagreed on which resort for a small resale for SAP points. He wants BLT, and I'm lukewarm about it.

I like this question because my contracts are just for me since I’m single and factored in no one else but myself.

I chose VGF Because growing up staying at a resort like that was always my dream and something I didn’t think I’d be able to achieve. I also think the resort is beautiful and makes me feel like I’m here at disney finally.

If I bought points direct which I’ve been considering I agree with @Sandisw
I would buy at riviera. I’ve visited for dining a few times since it’s opened and it’s grown on me for its offerings and location. I still don’t love love the outside design but I do find myself going to riviera every trip more times than I expect so that must say something.

As I already own one of my favorites (BLT) I guess if I was handed a free "me" contract I'd go with Boardwalk for location and all the great things it offers. I'm an Epcot Nut, and to be able to walk in the Intl.Gateway every trip would thrill me! :figment:

It's Maycember and I don't entirely trust my sleep deprived mind to have good judgment at this time, but if I had to pick right now I'd probably get a nice Aulani contract. Laying on a beach and doing nothing for a week after school gets out every year sounds lovely.

If you are going to Aulani or somewhere else, rent your VGC points to someone, then rent Aulani points from someone else. Pocket the difference. It sounds like a pain, but it isn't that bad
