If anyone is intersted in WILMA...

We arrived in Boynton Beach last night. RIght next to West Palm Beach. Last night it was showing to hit Sunday. Now it is pushed back until Monday. It has been cloudy here with some sun trying to get through early this am while we were at the beach. The beach was great. For anyone worried about trying to come down or not, I wouldn't be. Yes Orlando might/will get rain and wind, but WILMA will be too far south to come through Orlando. At least that is what is saying right now.

Any questions I will try to ask, but won't know how much time I will have tomorrow. But I will try.

Please dont spread misinformation like "Wilma is too far south to hit Orlando"

Even the experts dont really know where she will hit landfall. Last year they swore that Charlie was going to hit Tampa, the entire city evacuated to Orlando.....Guess what, Charlie came right through Kissimmee and Orlando bypassing Tampa all together. Not even the experts can tell where these storms will go. Only time will tell.

Well, as the OP said....'that's what they are saying right now', so I wouldn't take them to task for spreading misinformation. I'm hearing the exact same thing. Of course the stupid thing could change course. We were there for Charlie last year and spent a lot of time with those from Tampa that headed to WDW to get away from the storm. So I know that they can be wrong, but as of right now it does look like Wilma is taking a more southern route.
But, crow11ad, could you please keep updating for some of us.....my dad has a place in Pompano Beach and it looks like it's going to go right over them if Wilma stays on her present course.
I do have friends that are leaving for WDW today...looks like they will have no problems getting into MCO and that is basically all they were concerned about, based on my experiences in '04. They figure they will be very safe if they can get to WDW.

Well-we've seen plenty of evidence as to how unreliable the weather forecasts actually are. This mornings (Saturday) "guess" appears to have it head more into S Florida. IF true, WDW shouldn't be impacted all that much. I guess I wouldn't tell anyone to come--but then again, wouldn't tell anyone to cancel.
But folks with long anticipated (and saved-for) WDW vacation plans need to make a decision.
Were it me--we'd still be going.

There does seem to be some good news this morning..........

They are saying (remember they really dont know) that Wilma will speed through Florida in less than a day! That is good news for all of us who lived through Francis, who seemed to spend a week here last year!

Let's hope that THIS time they are correct!!

Mike: "Tiger" seems to be struggling just a bit??? Lunch at the Sand Trap is suggested.

We leave tomorrow for WDW and are hoping Wilma does indeed speed through FL at a low category level. We're planning on a rainy first few days but then hoping to see some sunshine.

We leave in just a few hours - it's funny how people just look at you and say- you are still going even with Wilma? And I say- I have had this trip planned since Feb. Do you think I planned it this way? It is going to be cold and rainy here in Delaware anyway. Now I ask- where would you rather be? :confused3

Shout out to MinnieGI in Wilmington!! I'm nearby in Newark!

Or looking at it the other way-- a 90-60 chance it will be farther than 75 miles away!!
