the live action movies of flintstones and scoobie doo were barely tolerable so no for me on those. the jetsons would require so much cgi it would be intolerable.

This is a good question and I gotta say,,,,.,these shows would not be for me :sad2:

Probably not. Those shows were from a time when there was - compared to the present day - a very limited choice of TV viewing options. The three tv networks was all there was, unless you lived in a big market area where there was room for an independent tv station or two.

I can recall in the 80s and early 90s, as cable became widely available, there was a saying, "100 channels, and not a thing to watch." By the 2000s, it was, "1000 channels, and not a thing to watch."

No, thus far the live action recreations are mostly awful and I don't expect it to improve. Why not just do some new animation?

Because new animated works based on old IP lately are often as bad or even worse than live action recreations. Are you unaware of the dumpster fire that was Velma? Have you seen the trailer for the new Smurfs movie with Rihanna as Smurfette?

Loved Scooby Doo as a kid, but I think a remake would just fall flat...AGAIN. I would probably watch and complain about it.

As far as Flintstones... I never really got too into the cartoon to begin with, but I saw the move and it was just not for me. I think they even made sequels... I would definitely skip a Flintstones remake.

I never paid any attention to the Jetsons, so I wouldn't even try it either.

Yeah, the live action cartoon remakes are a bit ridiculous in my opinion.

As much as I WANTED to like the Scooby Doo movies... I just didn't. I think they did a great job of casting and all, but they just didn't do it for me. Especially the 2nd one, that was just awful.
