My husband is a DVC member. I am an associate on his membership. He and I have different last names. We live in the same home with our two children but his identification has a former address. The membership has our current address. Will this be a problem in him renewing my annual pass or at check-in?

For the Annual Pass discount, all adults must have ID showing the same address as the member. Associate membership means nothing when it comes to discounts, as you have no membership card. All an associate member is, basically, is someone that you allow to "manage" your points.

It would not matter even of your last names matched, if your IDs have different addresses.

Yes, I got the fact that associate membership means nothing, I was just curious about the address issue. Hubby will update his ID, not a problem, we have plenty of time before our trip.

Utility statements, voters registration or similar with the same address as yours will also suffice. For renewals that qualified previously, I doubt they'll even ask.

My husband and I have been married for 17 years and we have different last names....it's never been a problem as long as the address is the same. It is "quite common" to have different or hyphenated last names.

Thanks for all of your input! My husbands address on his ID is different than our home address. Mine is different than his (our actual home address), but the membership address is what matches my ID, not his! I think I should call our guide and find out exactly what the protocol is. He doesn't want to change the ID address, but he does have oodles of mail with our address on it. To be honest it would be nothing to change it, he just doesn't want to, and now I want to investigate further! Gee, like I don't have enough to do in my life, LOL. Keep the input coming, everyone seems to have a theory. As for the name, I have my maiden name, he has his name, we have 2 children, one with his name, one with my exes name! Now, figure that one out, LOL

The last names don't matter, the address does. My stepbrother (so close I call him my brother) has a different last name but lives in the same house as us right now (we're 28, so we're not kids!). He can get the discount because his ID has the same address as us.

Since DH is the DVC member he might try calling MS to ask about it. As long as he has a DVC card and the address on the DVC contract is the address on your ID you might be fine.
