Hi guys,
My DF and I finally decided that we're going to have a WDW wedding...
We've been throwing a few ideas around and have got several different colour schemes and themes in mind...but I like this one. I'd just like some feedback from everyone as to what they think, and if there's anything else they could suggest...I'm talking to DF soon about it, and to convince him of the potential colour scheme (pink, black and a hint of white/silver
) I'd really appreciate anything anyone has to offer in terms of advice etc.
My DF has never been to WDW, so he can't really help suggest anything at the moment, and it's a little hard coming from England...
The wedding will likely be in July (I will be at Uni so it's hard for me to get other time off), between Monday and Thursday, and we will have at least 20 guests, with a maximum probably of 60 (depending on how many can afford to come...)
Here's what I've got in mind:
Month: July (probably)
Colours: Pink/Black/White or Silver
Theme: Cherry Blossom
Ceremony: Japan, Epcot (down by the pond, not on the bridge)
I was thinking of giving our guests, who won't be used to the heat, fans like these to keep cool with:
Reception: For a lot of guests, American Adventure Rotunda, Epcot. For less guests, I was originally thinking of a UK Terrace in Epcot, but then I thought about the weather on an afternoon in July...not the best idea. So, I'm not sure of a reception venue, if we have a smaller number of guests.
Dessert Party: UK Terrace, Epcot
Cake: Something like this, but in white, pink and black
Bridesmaids: Something like this
With this, BMs would have black and white/silver flowers with maybe a tiny bit of pink in there somehow
or
With this one, the BMs would have pink and white flowers with a little hint of black in maybe
Invitations: Black, pink and white, with cherry blossom on
Something like:
BM's gifts: I would take them to Japan probably before the wedding, or go on my own, and do the pick-a-pearl and have them set in a necklace most likely to suit their personality. Then they can wear them on the wedding day.
That's all I've got so far...what do you think?
Feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks
Kayleigh
