Ideas for the PodCast Cruise

At first I was thinking nametags, but just calling everyone Kim is much easier - good thinking

that totally works for me, since Beth isn't my real name....it's not even a nickname....just something that some people occasionally think might be a nickname....so i picked it to make life easier for people on the board...(and there are no possible rhymes with sarah cues to help)...

Katie, who'll be on the podcast cruise and whom i met on our first cruise (after meeting her on the boards), knows my real name....and i'm sure she'll attest to the fact that Kim would be a major improvement....

UrsulasShadow - Mindy/Kim - Intelligent,wry type who is digging a cistern to contain Webmaster Will, her future son-in-law.

wildeoscar - Rex/Kim - Posed in camo bikini top with sparkles, drove to Universal and successfully stalked Pete to win a podcast cruise.

kab407 - Kathy/Kim - Met Bawb in the parks and got a photo sitting on KahtKam. Looking forward to burning work stress off with minty drinks.

calypso*a*go-go - Lisa/Kim - Sexy voice, loves slurpees...and Moe-gee-toes.

dpuck1998 - Don/Kim - Took son's friend to WDW last-minute when son "accidentally" invited him, nicest thing in recent memory.

OK, I'm not going on the cruise (Unless I win one or someone wants to pay my way so that all of you can enjoy my FABULOUS personality!! ) but I have a suggestion..

why not set up a thread where everyone who is attending the podcast cruise can put a little blurb up about themselves... just saying your name, what interests you have, what you want to do on the cruise.... or just any information you want people to know about you..

it could all be on one long thread that way if people wanted to they could read it and at least know a bit about the people they are crusing with before the time comes.

just my 2 cents. Oh, and I love the disney trivia win a dinner with the podcast crew idea!

I got a game for the Cruise, who can guess how many restraining orders will be in place by the time we get back.

My DH is convinced that we're all a bunch of nutcases. I will hop onto the boards and read the latest whatever someone's posted in regards to the cruise and start laughing. I try to explain it to him and he just looks at me like i've grown three heads or something. I'm trying to get him to start posting over here, but he doesn't have the time right now. I'll keep trying...he's got to understand the backstories before he meets you guys!

Wait...on second thought...if he comes over here and sees that we truly are a bunch of nutcases...then he may reconsider this whole podcast cruise thing...

On second thought, Mindy's right - It's not about board history; it's all about love of Disney. (Diss-ney?) With the Podcast crew planning things, We/You are guaranteed to have fun.


As for my current siggie, Kevin made the observation that the DIS seemed to have an abundance of Kims. So we are all Kim, in a way. Even the boys (like me!!)

Tracy, for those who don't already know, is the DU agent who answers ANY question within minutes, gets about TWO hours of sleep a night because she's always on the job.... even in podcast chat...

Now, before you get offended, look at your post count compared to my wimpy one. You can see just how much of a DIS forums authority I'm NOT!

There are so many great people and stories here any such "list" is just a starting point. It was easier for me to comment on people with whom I've had some interaction. Sorry ; please don't be offended.

i assume you're going on the cruise - when we meet - hopefully in the terminal before boarding, i'll introduce myself properly...

although i don't really say it right either.....(since i have an american accent ....actually more like a really really strong detroit accent - which doesn't work with my name)...
