I go down to the World every other year or so with a group of people. Its been pretty much my job to come up with new things to try that we haven't done before. Things other than the "rides" . . . other fun activities etc. Last time I came up with the Sea Raycers, Segway Around the World and a night at Jellyrolls . . . they are all asking me what I've got new to try this time and I haven't come up with much yet - so any tips you've got would be a great help. Something maybe you found and loved along the way . . . they are really counting on me :hyper2: :hyper2: :hyper2:

Segway tour at Ft. Wilderness? It's a bit different than the Segway around the world because you go through the woods.

Have you done all the shows? Mickey's BBQ, Hoop-de-doo? I also heard that there's karaoke at one of the hotels, but don't remember which one.

How about one of the "magic" tours? Dolphins in Depth? Beyond the Seeds?

Thanks so much - keep them coming!!

I'm researching them as they show up!! wow!! :cool1:

Haven't actually been to this one yet...We have it booked in March. But, I thought it might be fun for a change.

Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Luau Cove

Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is located at Disney's Polynesian Resort in the Luau Cove located just off the beach in a covered, open-air theater. Please note that show will only cancel for temperatures falling below 50 Degrees.
The show is hostessed each evening by Auntie Wini, who has invited the whole neighborhood for a celebration to welcome home one of the local girls that has been away. The Aloha Dinner Show features music and dances of the cultures of Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand and Hawaii, which will be presented while guests dine on a feast that is inspired by the flavors of Polynesia.

The themed island feast is served family-style, and will feature chicken drumsticks, pork, fresh catch of the day, Polynesian Island rice, fresh sauteed seasonal vegetables, dinner rolls and a Volcano Dessert specialty. If you have special dietary requests they will be honored with a 24 hour advance notice by the guest. Beverages will include bottomless beer, wine, tropical rum punch, sodas, coffee and tea. Other alcoholic beverages may be purchased from the full bar. Dress is casual and shorts are permitted at this show.

Shows are presented every Tuesday through Saturday at 5:15 and 8:00 p.m.

There was another thread on bus roulette. Get up and take the first bus that shows up at your resort-you may end up at a park or DTD or where ever. Or if you are at DTD take the first bus and if you end up at a resort grab a bite to eat, look around and keep going.

WOW that is so cool! I wish I was bored enough to do that one day :)

We've done a lot of things. We got the hidden mickey book & did the scavenger hunts in that. It brought out new things that we never noticed before. We also did an eat around the world day (eating something small from each country around world showcase). Of course there are always the backstage tours also. Those are a lot of fun.

If you want to do something that doesn't cost extra cash, I'd like to add:

` go to FW and see the horses/animals
`hang out on the beach at the Poly or GF and watch the water pagent and fireworks
`have a fun evening at the boardwalk

OR

`do a reverse dinner. Start out at Beaches n Cream for ice cream and go from there! :)

Not sure if your group enjoys adult beverages or not, but we have a new tradition of riding the monorail around the MK resorts and trying out each resort lounge for their specialty beer or drink. You can even hop on the boat and include WL while you're at it - but check lounge times first. The lounge at WL doesn't open until 4 p.m. while the others are open earlier, so you want to make sure you time it right. We also do that on the Epcot side - leave Epcot in the middle of the day and hit up the lounges at the Boardwalk resorts and restaurants. It's a great way to relax in the middle of a crazy park day!

Minigolf at Winter Summerland.

Dive quest, if your group has several certified scuba divers (others can watch from the windows).

any more? I've gotten some good ideas . .

The Dolphins In Depth looks like a less expensive alternative to the one at Discovery Cove.

more idea! More ideas!:cool1:

Subscribing!

I love this link - Thanks John E. for posting it.

My kids are so excited about the Kim Possible Around the Showcase thing...

Yeah as much as we love Disney and love repeating things over and over, part of the excitement are the new things we try there. Its easy to forget that Disney isn't necessarily all about the rides and attractions, there are so many other things going on, and we look forward to trying out some new ones again this Fall.

Putt-Putt at Fantasia Gardens, try the fairways side. It is a unique layout and quite challenging.
