Ideas for something new to try . . .

What about an Illuminations or Wishes cruise?

Or spa appointments? Afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian? (Not sure if those are too "girly" for your group...)

Lunch or dinner with an Imagineer? We did lunch once and it was sooooo cool.

Port Orleans - Riverside has a mini Jelly Rolls thing happening on select nights. Sing along with the piano player who is also pretty funny. Happens at the hotel bar which is adjacent to the restaurant.

Book a fishing excursion from any one of several hotels that offer them.

Each hotel definatly has it's own charm (and Lounge) tour them. Wilderness lodge offers a guided tour.

Ever watch the electrical boat parade from one of the seven sees resorts? Happens every night after dark.

The outdoor movie, and campfire sing along at Wilderness Campground is usually alot of fun even for older guests.

At Animal Kingdom Lodge they have an outdoor fireplace and story nights around the camp fire.

Check out the entertainment schdule at DD, have a carmel apple and watch kids playing in the fountains.

When you slow down you experience so much more magic.

There was another thread on bus roulette. Get up and take the first bus that shows up at your resort-you may end up at a park or DTD or where ever. Or if you are at DTD take the first bus and if you end up at a resort grab a bite to eat, look around and keep going.

That sounds like fun :)

Someone already posted a link for all the tours, I know my family member and I loved "The Keys to the Kingdom" tour. Another two family members enjoyed the "Behind The Seeds Tour", not my cup of tea but they liked it. I haven't done the "Kim Possible" thing at Epcot, but I definitely recommend that since you will be going through the countries anyways, its a different way to see them and will only take a little more of your time up. A good friend has done them all with their son, and they absolutely love them and even adults have given it some good reviews.

Here is a link to a bunch of tours offered.

The Mickey's Magical Milestone Tour was fantastic - its for older kids (10+) mostly adults when we went - its such a cool "history" of Mickey - stop inside and see the movies on Mainstreet - ride the steam train (still learning about Walt and Mickey) over to MIckey's house, get a "like a fastpass" cut in the line to see Mickey and Minnie - oh and see Philharmagic and another "gift" worth at least $12 (;) its supposed to be a surprise)

well worth it! $25 and we went in before the official park opening, got official name badges - and took pics on Mainstreet when its not crowded!! LOVE it!

this reminded me - by BEach Club/Yachtclub they also do a movie on the beach night!!

and for us just going to AKL for the Boma Buffet - arriving 25 min early to walk out and check out the animals was great!!

Yeah as much as we love Disney and love repeating things over and over, part of the excitement are the new things we try there. Its easy to forget that Disney isn't necessarily all about the rides and attractions, there are so many other things going on, and we look forward to trying out some new ones again this Fall.

1, Hold a contest for finding most hidden mickeys.
2. Challenge your guests to win at Buzz Lightyear, loser has to buy everyone a drink.
3. Seek out the boardwalk at night - lots of fun things happen here - go to dinner at ESPN if you are into sports - you can check their schedules for "live" shows.
4. Rent Surrey Bikes (Poly has them, boardwalk has them)
5. Have you seen the Jack Sparrow show right outside the pirates of caribbean? Really cute and well done...plus its free!
6. Relax on the people mover - my whole family loves that!

Here are some WDW Hidden Secrets to check out - you may know of them but I figured I post them anyway for anyone else who may not:

  • In Fantasyland, stop by the Tinkerbell's Treasures shop and look for Tinkerbell. Even if you know where she usually flies, it'll take a few minutes to find her.
  • If you turn down the first side street to your right on Main Street on a more quiet day and look up at the windows that have signs that say something like "music lessons", you'll hear a voice practicing scales and someone tap dancing. You can't always hear it - it has to b pretty quiet.
  • TOT - Right after you leave the lobby of the Tower of Terror, and before you go in the TV room, you will see a directory board in a glass case. Some of the white letters have fallen out and are at the bottom of the case. You have to get you head right up to the glass and look down to where the letter have fallen. . . it says, You are doomed!
  • EPCOT- Innoventions West, at the IBM exhibit, you can email pictures of yourself. Innoventions East the 10 second video clip you can email.
  • HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS- Tug on the well rope at Indiana Jones.
  • MK - If you sit in the very last car, the one that is the little platform out the back they will ask you to be the guest conductor
  • MK - Wait for the railroad in Toontown about 15 minutes before the evening parade is scheduled to begin. If you're lucky, you'll be pulling into the Main Street Station just as the parade begins, putting you on the best side of the street for a quick exit, or a good view of the parade if you're staying.
  • MK - on Main Street , check out the old style phone in the General Store. (on the right side of the street as you're headed in) Pick up the reciever and listen in to a conversation going on.
  • :thumbsup2

I second the Hoop de Doo show - DH and I loved that. We still sing some of the songs from the show.

One other suggestion - we enjoyed making a reservation at California Grill during the MK fireworks time. They have an outdoor patio for viewing the fireworks over the Castle. We happened to be seated at a table that offered a view of fireworks without having to go outisde. It is spectacular view and excellent food. Pricey but worth it.

We also enjoyed eating at German restaurant, Biergarten in Epcot's world showcase. Not sure how large your group is but our table was 8 people (you are seated randomly with fellow guests) but its so fun to visit with people and the food is buffet so you can try many different german entrees.

Happy planning

If you'r going during the Flower Festival - there's the Concert Series plus they also offer a Tour of Epcot-behind the scenes on the Gardens & Topiary's that was quite cool - if you're into gardening! LOL
