The thread about boys and princess meals, got me going off-topic, so I thought I'd start a new thread for ideas you have about new restaurants you'd like to see at WDW, here are some of mine.

Pirate-Themed Restaurant

Have it look like a pirate ship inside and out. Perhaps Peter Pan characters at breakfast or lunch, for a more little-kid-friendly atmosphere. And then Captain Jack and crew for dinner, along with pirates & wenches as CM servers.

Star Wars-Themed Restaurant

Eat with Darth Vader! I think kids would love this, as well as, all of us Star Wars generation "kids" that would love it. Add on your Star Wars "geeks", and I think this would be extremely popular. Make it look like the Cantina from A New Hope or something like the Jedi Temple, or Emperor's Room in the Death Star, or Jabba's place, the list goes on and on with possibilities. You could have lightsaber duels, unscrupulous activities by Storm Troopers, etc.

Imagine a Jedi coming by to assist you in having your child eat their veggies, by using the old Jedi mind trick.

CARS-Themed Restaurant

Perhaps with stadium-style seating, like you're at a race track with an infield that Mater & McQueen could come into the restaurant and park, while allowing photo ops. I'm thinking several different "rooms" set up like this, so you aren't sitting way up in the "cheap" seats and have a long walk to the infield. Maybe have a racing light tree (whatever those things are called in drag racing). So you could see when your turn is approaching, as the lights gradually get to the go position. When your table got the green light you could go to the infield for your turn with the characters. Have the CMs dressed in pit crew attire.

Pirates sounds cool. I would like a Toy Story restaurant. Love Buzz and Woody.

I would love another dinner show, like a Mississippi Riverboat excursion. An actual boat that wandered around one of the lakes. Lots of Dixie Land jazz, women belting out the Blues, and other Americana classics. Top notch Southern food (although a different menu than Hoop de Doo...more creole or soulfood inspired).

Oh, I would vote for a dinner cruise too. Jazz and blues mixed with good ole southern food. Perfect.

I just posted on the other thread you were talking about.
I'm a mom of 4 boys and would love to see something of that nature. I think it would be so popular.
Toy Story would definately work. If Buzz is too big they could just have him in the front for just pictures. The army men guys are my favorite. They could have old looking TVs with the Woodys Roundup show on. Endless possibilities::yes::

I don't know why they don't turn Cap'n Jack's into a Captain Jack Sparrow meal. I think it would increase the business to a somewhat lagging venue. They have the Bibbidy Bobbity Boutique in DTD, and the girls could do that in the morning, then the family could go to a pirate meal for lunch. Ta da!

I don't think they would do a Star Wars restaurant; Disney seems to be reluctant to add more attractions for non-Disney-owned movies, though they did just start that Jedi academy. And we hated, HATED Cars - yech. I kept wanting the main car to go back to civilization :)

Cheers!
