Ideas for girls night out?

We are doing a big family trip this fall.
My SIL recently had a baby, and we haven't had a chance to "hang out" together much... so we were thinking a girl's night out would be fun...

But we can't come up with any good ideas! (how lame).

Our hubbies will be back at the hotel with the kids so we are good to go... but given that the parks close relatively early that time of year (Nov), we need to find a non-park activity. We're not much into dancing or drinking ... so i'm not sure about PI. I thought about Disney Quest but some of the kids expressed an interest in that, so we don't want to leave them out of it...

Any ideas?

My DSIL and I had a girls night out. We loved Jelly Rolls at BW. (Keep in mind your "key to the world" is no good here...bring cash).

This trip I enjoyed Comedy Warehouse and Adventures Club and than walked around DTD.

Both were lots of fun for a night

Enjoy

I'm not sure how late the spas are open, but you could always treat your self to a spa service at either the GF or SSR and then go to a fancy restaurant for dinner. Also, at PI there the Comedy Warehouse and Adventurer's Club are two wonderful places to go. They are so much fun. The Comedy Warehouse is an Improv Club. They run shows probably 4 or 5 times a night (each show is about 25 minutes I think). The Adventurer's Club is a different sort of comedy club. It's like dinner theater without the dinner. There are different skits througout the night and the character's interact with the guests. I can stay here all night long and never get bored.

I go along with Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk. It's a great fun place with entertaining music. You will get in the spirit of things and have a great time.

Cirque du Soleil is always an option too. It's great for the whole family, but is probably be too costly for everyone. I personally would go out to dinner in DTD and then hit the show afterward.

How about a girls DAY out instead? You could got to the spa and then have Afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian, then hit Downtown Disney for some shopping.

I echo the jellyrolls suggestion. :) It's such a great place, you're sure to have a good time!

I've always wanted to go to Jelly Rolls and Adventurer's Club and haven't had the chance yet... so I agree with those ideas. However, you could check into the possibility of the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and you could actually go into MK that way. You could also schedule a PS for about 8-8:30 at Cinderella's Royal Table... I think they stay open later than the actual park.

Another fun idea, if you're up for the use of WDW transportation is to do a "Progressive Dinner" type of night. Since you'd be using WDW transportation, you could fairly easily hop the monorail from a cocktail hour at the Contemporary (they have a bar, I forget the name, right near Chef Mickey's) -- to a scheduled PS dinner at the monorail resort of your choice... say, Citrico's or Narcoosie's at the GF, then head to Kona Cafe at the Poly for dessert. You could then always hop a bus from the Poly to DTD for Adventurer's Club or go to the BW for Jelly Rolls. Most kids wouldn't be up for this much traveling just to eat, so this could be a fun way to hit all three of these resorts and experience restaurants at each of them. If you're up to navigating the use of the buses and the boats, your possibilities are truly endless.

Another fun idea, might be to make up a scavenger hunt, not so much competitively, but say, each of you come up with 4 or 5 items/activities for the "hunt" -- they could be things like, "Find a Hidden Mickey" or "Get a picture with a CM from your home state" or "get a bartender to serve you a shot called the Hidden Mickey" (as I don't know of one of these, this could be interesting... make up what you think would go into it and see if you can get a bartender to serve you one -- on the house... even better!)

you can get as mild or wild as you want... then set out to do these things... maybe keep score of who achieves each one, and the loser has to buy the other one a drink? I don't know... you could get really goofy here if you wanted to -- and where else but at WDW?! Good luck! Let us know what you decide!
