Ideas for anniversary?

We are sending my Aunt and Uncle to the BCV in August for their 50th wedding anniversary.

I would like to have something in their room as a surprise when they check in. My Aunt loves chocolate and of course, they love Disney.

Do they make special things for such occassions and can I order something ahead of time? Who would I call?

If you go onto the WDW website there is a place where you can "contact us" and send them a message. You should be able to get a message to customer service and they will talk to you about options. I looked into this too for an upcoming family reunion and they were really helpful. You can have almost anything delivered to them, all you have to do is ask, and pay.

How about that glass slipper dessert that I've seen pictures of? Not sure if that is something that could be waiting in the room...but maybe a good choice for after an evening PS.

For our 40th anniversary we stayed at the BWV with my daughter and her family. She went to DTD and got us beautiful engraved flutes commemorating our 40th and also got us bride and groom Mickey hats. Then she ordered the most luscious cake (chocolate of course) from the Boardwalk Bakery. She mentioned our anniversary to the CM when checking in and we also got a bouquet of balloons with a card signed by all the characters delivered to our room. A truly magical memory!!!

MemereMouse - I love the idea of the flutes. We are getting there 3 days sooner so I can buy them, have them engraved, get a bottle of champagne and maybe they will put it in the room for me. I'll make sure I tell them when we check in and maybe they will send something also.

Gail & Joe, I never thought about the florist - but my Aunt loves flowers and if they could put some goodies with them - that would be ideal.

kweaver - I like that idea, I will search for the thread about the glass slipper to find out which restaurants have them and have it bought out at dessert time.

lillasmom - I should have thought of that - I will contact htem and see what they have to offer.
