Ideas for a star wars nut honeymooner?

Hi all!

We're planning our honeymoon this year and i managed to convince my fiancee to include some Disney magic in it XD
He's not that all fond of Disney, but he is a sweetheart and agreed to please me because i am a big fan. (It's in the contract, you can't marry a Disney nut and have no Disney in your life everywhere haha) plus, the last time he was there was more than 15 years ago so he doesn't remember a lot.
He is a big Star Wars fan though, and when he remembered that there's also Star Wars at DW, he got quite excited and started longing for our Disney HM haha.

The thing is, we agreed that we would arrange a special 'surprise' for each other while on our HM, so i'm wondering if there's any Star Wars experience i can arrange for him. I know about Star Wars weekend, but our HM is nov 9 to 14 at WDW, so that's not an option.
Any ideas for a romantic/exciting surprise Star Wars themed? (i was thinking a hot air balloon ride, or tickets to a special event.. something of the sort).

There really aren't a lot of Star Wars type events outside of Star Wars Weekends. You could always have a custom cake delivered to your room or your table at one of your meals and have that Star Wars themed.

I don't really see the connection between a hot air balloon ride and Star Wars. Regardless, Disney doesn't do hot air balloons. There's Characters in Flight at DTD but it most likely wouldn't be a private ride for just you two.

Other than that, I'm at a loss. I'm interested to see what others come up with :)

I've done a hot air balloon ride in Orlando and it was great fun, but you may not see WDW as you go where the wind takes you and its not that romantic as your with 16 other people.

Haha i never thought of that XD thanks for pointing it out.
I really didn't mean i was doing a star wars-related hot air balloon ride, i said that for a 'surprise size' purpose :3dglasses
Also, it doesn't necessarily mean it has to be INSIDE Disney property, i just assumed Disney had some Star Wars related experience? :confused3

Apart from the Star Wars weekends and the ride I don't know of anything.

It's super sweet that you two want to set up surprises for each other! Beyond Star Tours at Hollywood Studios, there might be some creative options for adding Star Wars magic to your trip...

One thing I thought of was Disney Floral. If you're staying on property, they can have surprises delivered to your room for you when you check in. If you search their website for Star Wars, there are a few options.

I'm also not sure of the feasibility of this, but there is a Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios as well. Maybe you could contact guest relations or special events and see if there's a way to get your DF into the training academy (usually it's only for kids). There's also the build-you-own-lightsaber station in the Star Tours gift shop - maybe you could take him there after the ride and let him design his dream lightsaber?

Hopefully you'll find something you'd like to do! Good luck with your planning! :goodvibes

What about a private dinner by Disney catering somewhere, like at the grand Floridian where they have rooms for private dining and then you could see part of wishes? You could then see if they could make you a Star Wars themed cake. Not sure how much that would cost though.

My DF is a huge Star Wars fan and we are going for our honeymoon as well! :thumbsup2
I am also trying to think of ways to bring in star wars, while he isn't allowed to participate in Jedi Training he is excited to see it!

I bought a blank Jedi Training certificate off of eBay that I will leave in the room after we go see it with his name on it.

We are hoping to go to Jellyrolls (maybe you could request something star wars themed songs) and enjoy the boardwalk area.

There is sometimes a photo pass photographer near star tours that can do a magic shot with either vader or lightsabers. may not always or still be there but it is a possibility.

Good Luck!

It is your honeymoon and he is a Star Wars fan? This one is too easy. Princess Leia slave girl costume and a do not disturb sign.

Try to get ahold of the Florida garrison of the 501st. They do a lot of the Star Wars weekend stuff, maybe they can help you out with something! :)

Thank you! I didn't know there was such a thing O_O i'll check if they have something scheduled or -even better- can do something for me. :cool2:

Actually, as a huge Star Wars fan and husband, get a female stormtrooper costume and surprise him in that. That would be the ultimate.
