Hello all so I have a couple of questions. My fiancé and I are premium ap holders and travel to disneyland about once a month. This September we will be getting married on September 13th and will be spending between 5 and 7 days at disneyland for our honeymoon. I am looking for suggestions on special things to do. We do go to disneyland often but have never stayed this many days. We want it to be really special. What are your suggestions for special things to do? What are some special places we could eat? Just want this to be a very romantic honeymoon seeing as how we don't get the opportunity to spend this much time together often. Thanks for your help. Honeymoon dates are September 14- 18 or 20th.

First of all..congrats !!
We honeymooned in DLR back in Oct. 2010 and loved it !!
Make sure you get the Just Married buttons from Town Hall :)

For dinner I highly recommend Steakhouse 55 - definitely mention you just got married in the reservation! It was incredible when we went for an anniversary dinner earlier this year. Or I hear rave reviews about Napa Rose.

You could also do Blue Bayou and request a water front table at lunch or dinner , we both enjoy it and have done lunch and dinner and feel you can;t go wrong with either.

Trader Sam's at the DLH is a great spot for a midday break and a few..or in my case more drinks :thumbsup2
It's a fun atmosphere and the drinks and appetizers are all super yummy!

Try to ask if you can sit in the front of the monorail ! We had our Just Married buttons on and they escorted us to the front with a family. It was awesome.

We love taking the Mark Twain around and sitting in the front chairs.

If you enjoy Ferris wheels I hear the view is beautiful at night on Mickeys fun wheel.

I hope you have a fantastic time :)

We're heading to DLR for our honeymoon in less than 2 weeks. (OMG, less that TWO WEEKS?!?! When did that happen?!?)

Some of the things we have planned....

--Just Married buttons.

--Mickey and Minnie wedding ears (Mickey in tux, Minnie with veil). It took some convincing for DH-to-be to agree to this one, and I'm so happy he did. We're only true honeymooners once!

--Dinner at the Blue Bayou. We're hoping for a water-side table for this.

--Lunch at Carthay Circle, just because we want to try it out.

--Enjoy the sights at night. Our last trip was with DD, who's 9, and who turns into the dwarf Grumpy at exactly 9:01pm, so we missed a lot of the "night life". This time, we're going to stay up and appreciate how things change after the sun goes down.

--Take as many pictures as possible! Despite the fact that we've been together for 3.5 years, we have only a handful pictures of just he and I, so I told him I wanted to take as many as possible on our honeymoon of just he and I being a couple instead of being Mommy and Daddy with the DDs.

--An agreement that there will be no expectation beyond having a good time together.

PPs gave some great advise!!

Here are just a few more options.

-Ask to ride in the Lilly Belle

-If budget allows, stay in the Fairytale Suite at DLH, even if just for a night or two.

-Chef's Table at Napa Rose

-Are you guys interested in tours? A Walk in Walt's Footsteps is AMAZING!!

Enjoy, and congrats!! :)

Congratulations!!

I second the PP's recommendation for staying in the Fairytale Suite for a night or 2 if budget allows. You will be treated like royalty and it's right next door to the concierge lounge (concierge privileges included). Your dates are at a time when the cost for the suite is at the lowest, esp. if you have a midweek stay, but it's still around $650/night. It's not that bad considering the cost of a regular room is about $400 and doesn't include concierge. The room is very large and the bathroom is incredible!! There are floor to ceiling windows in a corner location on the top floor of the Adventure Tower looking out over DTD with some views of the parks. You can run next door to the lounge and get glasses of champagne...er, sparkling wine...and take them back to your room and watch the fireworks. However, it's still a lot of money!!

Other than that, I think dining at your favorite place(s) or place(s) you've always wanted to try would be tops on my list. Maybe visit the spa at GCH for a couple's massage. You could take your own tiara and attach it to the wedding ears. I'd have a silhouette or something similar done of the two of you. If Napa Rose is too expensive, go there for dessert and sit by the fireplace.

Get Photopass+ ahead of time and have every photographer you can take your picture! They will even do photoshoots for you if there aren't a lot of people waiting!!

PP+ isn't in our budget :( However, we know the PP photogs will take pictures with our camera too, so our plan is to just hand them our camera. Wish money wasn't an issue for our honeymoon, but it is what it is.

Thanks so much for all the help. Keep the suggestions coming. We aren't sure exactly what our budget is yet. We used the Disney honeymoon registry and so we will have to see how much help we get from that. Thanks for the help

Also we had originally thought we had an invite to club 33 but that fell through. Someday we will get there. But for now doing the all on Walts footsteps tour will has to do.
