We are heading down to disney 1 day before our DD turns 3. She is our only child and this is her first trip to Disney!! My parents and mother-in-law will probably be coming down for 2-3 days of out 9 day stay but most the time it is the 3 of us.

Is there anything special I can do for her? I am going to book a character breakfast probably Cinderella's Castle (maybe a dinner too at Liberty Tree since people rave about that one.) I will also get her a button too like I saw someone suggest in another thread. Obviously this isn't all in one day but spread out to enjoy it more!

I guess I wanted to see if there is anything Disney does at any of the separate parks or if any restaurant will make a birthday cake with advance reservations. I would LOVE if Liberty Tree did that so the characters could sing too but I doubt it.

Any suggestions or ideas?

My DD is 4 and would love the following as well:

Epcot - Garden Grill Ice cream social

Grand Floridian - afternoon tea - check out "Mrs. Potts Tea"

and very $$$$ but sounds interesting "My Disney Girls Perfectly Princess Tea" do a search on www.allearsnet.com

We took our DD last year for her 2nd birthday. We did special things throughout our trip. We splurged ($220 plus tip) and did a birthday cruise! The cake was fabulous and DD loved it! The boat was decorated special with balloons, we enjoyed cake, sodas and a great view of the fireworks! Worth every penny for us. Depending on how many people would be there you could try sharing the cruise with another family to reduce the cost to you.
We also did a character dinner at the Crystal Palace since she likes Pooh Bear and Friends. I saw someone mention the Garden Grill for the Ice Cream Social; but they also have a nice lunch or dinner there. The cake was including in the cost of the meal; and Mickey and Friends came over to sing Happy Birthday! When you make a reservation be sure to mention the birthday no matter where you are dining. DD got cards and cupcakes at the CP and we got a cake or maybe it was two cakes at the GG due to size of our party. You can also request a cake at most or all places for additional fee just ask.

We also decorated the room on her actual birthday and had a special basket delivered from the Disney Florist just for her.

I know this will be a very "Special and Magical" birthday for your DD and a memory of a lifetime for you, too!
