Ideal length of stay?

We come from the west coast, so 2 days are eaten up by travel. 10 days are good, more is better. We are usually already in Florida before we go up to Orlando, landing in Lauderdale first to visit family, so I can be on the road at 6:00 am and be in wdw by 9:00, getting a full first day in.

January trips are usually 7-10 days, & August trips are 12-14. And it's never enough!!

We come from the west coast too - so if we are going to spend that much money getting there, then we're staying for a longer time. The first trip we ever did was 9 nights, second trip was 14 nights, 3rd time was 9 again after a Disney cruise. So for our 2014 trip we will be back to 14 nights as we will be travelling with family members who have never been. Figured it was a good excuse to extend our stay

We're done 5 nights/ 6 days, 7 nights/ 8 days, and 10 nights/ 11 days. The 7 night trip is a good baseline for us. When we want to go off property, we go for longer. And when we want a quick trip, the 4 nights is good.

Last time I went we did 6 days/5 nights and two of those days were spent at Uni. We did manage to hit every park in that time (we had hoppers) and an evening at DTD. We only had time for a half day at MK, if you would even call it that (we basically showed up at ~8pm on an evening EMH night and stayed until 3am). That was definitely not enough MK!

I think ideally I would like ~8days so I can have at least two full days at both Epcot and MK, a half day for HS paired with a Resort day or DTD and a day at AK.

Staying at Epcot resorts, I always find myself back in Epcot so hoppers are always a must ;)

5-6 full days is good enough for me.. I love Disney, but I also would love to come home to my own bed. I've done 9 days and I was already ready to go home by the 7th day. The kids kept on asking me when are we flying home and I felt the same way. It's one of those, been there done that kind of thing where we don't need to stay longer.

Its only a 3 hour class not an entire curriculum and it involves discounted park tickets :confused3

Don't it have to be parties of 10 or more? We've only got 2 currently school age & what's the discount not that it matters since we've got fd this trip but I'd still love to get our 2 in the Discovering the American spirit class at WD as that goes perfect with some of our stuff this year.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but my favorite is the little three night / two day quick weekend get-a-way. I've done 24 trips since 1970, two three night / two day trips, 17 one week trips, and five two week trips. Just booked my third little mini trip for this October. // Maybe I've just gone so much that I'm burned out for the longer trips here. Those mini trips, though, are just a blast and are my favorite by far.
