Ice Cream- can anyone tell me...

Can anyone tell me if the ice cream at the parks/restaurants/resorts is only Edy's or do they serve another brand as well? I've only seen Edy's at the Foutain View and Main St. Parlor... but haven't looked other places.

I know there are places that sell soft-serve ice cream that's not Eddy's, but I'm not sure what brand it is. -Mrs. Potts in MK, Dole Whip places ect.

I would assume Nestle/Edys.

They don't have good ingredients for us, so we tend to go to Haggen Dasz when at Disney, and next time at WDW we'll go to Ghiradellis. Just safer for us.

Ghirardelli is available at DTD Marketplace & Haagen Dazs at DTD West Side.

There is gelato in Italy & soft serve in France but no clue as to manufacturer. Given WDW attention to food allergies, I would at least ask if they had the ingredient book behind the counter.

Novelty ice cream items I would expect all to be Nestle products.

Everything at WDW owned locations including soft serve is Edy's (which is Nestle's) except Dole whip. If you have allergies definitely ask because the commercial stuff has slightly different ingredients than the Edy's you buy in stores. They also will open a new ice cream container just for allergy customers to be sure a scoop from one flavor doesn't contaminate another flavor. MOst places also carry rice dream and tofutti and even the carts that don't have them can get them brought over for you in 15ish minutes.
