IALL Availability at 7 AM

I don’t know how precisely accurate it is, but I don’t think there is any better tool for giving you an idea of what kind of lines and LL availability you might find at a given time of the day.

The key is to focus as much as possible on days that have crowds close to what is expected during your trip.

I am going to be looking at it for the next two weeks to decide what to target for my LL selections for a 4 day trip coming up the week of 3/21.
Got it, thanks. Yeah I've already switched my MK reservation around twice because of the trends I've noticed. Originally planned on a Wed, then Mon, but now moved it to Sun, which I never would've done prior to using the charts on Thrill Data. Counter-intuitively, Mondays are significantly busier than Sundays for whatever reason.

I thought you can pick your time for the ILL rides like ROTR?
The issue is that you select a time to start the booking process but that time can change while you go through the process, especially at 7AM when the system is being slammed.

Because it's been a few months now I forget the details of all the screens, but the first time I tried to book ROTR in November I was trying to get a time around 5 PM. So when I clicked on the screen to book they present you with an hour to select, presumably starting with the earliest hour available. So, if you then click on 4 PM, it shows you specific windows after that hour, but they all might be after 5 PM. so, then you select a time like 5:10, and you have to accept that, and it takes you to a screen to select a payment method. I have my credit card saved to the app so I click on that.

On occasion, the system makes you go through an authentication step and sends you an email with a code to enter. If that happens you enter the code and are presented with a screen to confirm the purchase. By the time you get to there the time you are being asked to confirm may be still later, and when you press confirm you get a confirmation that isn't necessarily the same time as on the previous screen.

This whole process might not take more than a minute, but when I did it that time I started clicking on 4 PM and by the time I was done the time I received was like 6:40.

Some people have reported the time changing even after they received the confirmation. That has never happened to me; there is speculation that it's a result of the ride going down and pushing return times out to spread out the crowd.

My hope would be that with less traffic at 7:11 or 7:17 these changes would be less dramatic.

I've never tried to pick which days to go to which parks based on things like this or Touring Plans.

I use them to plan for what to do on the days we have selected.

We like to go to MK on the first full day of our trip, and changing that based on website data strikes me as letting the tail wag the dog.

For us, MK will now be the first full day of our trip, and on second thought, I think this will work better after all. We should have the most energy on that first full day, and MK is a park we plan on staying at the longest (or as long as our kids can last for), so then doing a slower, shorter day at AK makes more sense for the 2nd day as a bit of a reprieve. The 3rd day will be a split morning/evening at HS, with a planned break (staying at Pop, so hopping on the skyliner to hitch a ride back for a 4 hr break mid-day) then back to HS for the evening when crowds should begin to thin out. Another split day at EPCOT on 4th day, and then a morning at HS on the 5th day before heading to the airport. It's gonna be a lot, but we'll try our best. This will be the first time we'll be staying on property so hopefully we can take advantage of the proximity by working in those breaks on two of the days to give us some rest from all the chaos. I'm big on planning everything as much as possible, so all the charts from thrill data have been clutch since it will allow me to have some contingency plans ready if we need to adapt for any reason.

thats Hopeless and very poor, are they trying to fix this problem?

does it still give you a one hour window to return by?

also what happens if the new time is not suitable and you have confirmed it, does it actually change after you have paid for it?

Yes, you get a 1 hour window for $LL and LL selections.

The $LL, you do select the window you want, but it does change as you complete the confirmation process.

Our HS day was Feb 20. MMRR was still a $LL, we bought it, got what we wanted around 5:00 pm. We were on the skyliner over to HS and I looked at Genie, my MMRR had moved to 7:30, the same time I had for ROTR.

When I got to HS, I went to Guest Services (blue umbrella) and explained the situation. The CM was great, she moved our MMRR back to 5:10. So yes, in this one instance my $LL changed after purchase and after confirmation. But out of 4 park days, this was the only one.

Did you always log on right on 7 when it was busiest too

We had a very similar experience while trying for Remy and ROR on two separate days...
Gone at 7:01...both times I got a spinning circle on the final booking screen and never got a confirmation. I was feeling upset because we go to Disney at least 1-2 times a year and I researched so much for current changes for this trip that I felt I was prepared. Around 7:18ish found availability that worked...keep refreshing! The biggest issue we found was that our reservation time for ROR changed in the few seconds it took to book.
Given our past experiences...I would pay for the FP+ system over Genie, LL, and ILL. Would rather have my plans set, along with dining reservations, and not have to wake up early for a system that is not equipped for volume.
Refresh, refresh, refresh your screen...availability changes by the minute! Good luck!

Yes (sort of)
On Thursday of our trip (Feb 17), we were on a plane (without wifi) at 7:00 am. So as soon as I could get service, I booked Remy's and Test Track. It was a low attendance day so I was pretty confident I could get what I wanted.
On Friday and Saturday, our MK and AK days, I had no trouble getting Genie to load at 7am. This biggest issue on Saturday was the the Genie "suggestions" kept popping up on every screen, which I had to dismiss and move on. I seriously think it is designed to distract people so they don't book as fast.
Sunday was our HS day and that was the only day Genie wouldn't load right at 7 am.
