On our trips form NJ we usually stop at Cracker Barrel for dinners. OF course there are the Stucky's that line I95 but they aren't for dinners. Not too sure about the Big Boys.

What places are worthy of a stop for dinner along I95 (except for South of the Border).

Just thinking about maybe a change after 15 years of Cracker Barrel, not that I don't like them.

All thoughts appreciated...

I remember years ago on our way to Myrtle Beach, we stopped at The Highway Diner in Rocky Mount, NC and it was pretty good. I do not believe it is an original diner, just made to look like one.

Where do you think you'll be along 95 when you plan to stop? I've got a couple of ideas but need to know where. Let me know.

I like the Prince George Family BBQ in Disputanta, VA (you should take the 295 bypass around Richmond if you want to eat here) and the GA Pig in Brunswick, GA, right off I-95.

Both are BBQ joints, both are local and not part of chains. Prince George feels like a nicer diner -- bright and relatively modern (and very clean). The GA Pig looks like a location set from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre or something, it's a rustic cabin with smoke belching out of it, parking is in a dirt lot... but I like that ambiance.

I expect dinner heading south in the Baltimore/DC area and heading north for dinner in GA or SC.

Thanks...

I'm gonna say two words. Waffle House.

I agree :thumbsup2.... however, that is on our travel plans for breakfast.... not for dinner.

We arrive at WDW about 8AM, before any parks open, so it's first to Waffle House for breakfast, and then off to Epcot. It's a long day (leaving NJ at 4PM, getting to WDW about 8AM, breakfast, and straight to a park), but it works!

I'm ready NOW! :woohoo:

Zaxby's is good for chicken.
And at Exit 164 in SC is FATZ cafe. You can check out both on the internet.
