I wouldn't ride _______ at WDW if you paid me!

Mission Space - too scared, too claustrophobic (so that eliminated the non spinning version) and don't want to be

Never rode Barnstormer as it is only me and DH.

Have not done RnR (the 0 to 60 stops me).

Won't do Space Mountain ever again unless they change the track like at DL. First time on Space Mountain was age 3 back in 1977. My grandma took me on and did not see all the warnings. I guess they did not have height restrictions then or did not screen properly. It was traumatizing. My grandma was afraid I was going to fly out of the car. I avoided when I returned to the World at age 11. Then tried twice in the - once on my honeymoon then again the next year. I now call it whiplash mountain, enough said.

Won't do Sounds Dangerous again. One the only rides at the world I actually hate.

Try to go on most other rides at least once a trip, even Stitch. Funny story, my DH and I are not really thrill ride people. I kept telling him I did not think Stitch was a thrill ride. So first time on Stitch he was ready to kill me when the harness came down. He thought the room was going to spin and the floor drop out LOL!

Every year when we visit WDW, there are more rides and attractions the kids are able to experience and/or want to experience. However, there are some that the kids flat out refuse to ride or have absolutely no interest to ride. Also, there are some we've ridden and once was enough. To be honest, I am not heartbroken to miss them either. :lmao:

Here are a few on our must "miss" attractions list for WDW:

Magic Kingdom
The Enchanted Tiki Room - Under New Management *
Snow White's Scary Adventures *
The Barnstormer *
Stitch's Great Escape! *
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway *

Epcot
Universe of Energy **
The Circle of Life **
Living with the Land *
Journey Into Imagination with Figment *
Reflections of China **
Impressions de France **
O Canada! **

Disney's Hollywood Studios
Sounds Dangerous **
Voyage of the Little Mermaid *
Studios Backlot Tour *
American Idol Experience **

Disney's Animal Kingdom
It's Tough to be a Bug! *
Dinosaur *

* We have experienced this attraction.
** We have not experienced this attraction.

Are there any attractions that ...

"I wouldn't ride _______ at WDW if you paid me!"

:surfweb: Jennifer

(Reminder: This is my personal opinion. I love WDW and am in no way against Disney or it's parks. )

MK:
Mad Hadder Tea Cups * (rode it evidently when I was little, threw up afterwards, do not remember it- will never ride it ever)
Town Town ** With my parents, we were never there when it was open when we were the target age, and with :tigger: we always skipped it
Dumbo * No interest
Aladdin's Carpets ** No interest

Epcot:
Mission Space: Orange * rode it when it was just Mission:Space (no other option) and got THROWN UP ON. Ever since then, it's Green or nothing.
The Land* Did it once, BTDT
All the Movie Only Attractions * We did them in the last few years, and will do them again when they redo the movies but they're not must does on every trip.

Animal Kingdom:
Primevil Whirl ** No way, no how. Too much rotation.
Conservation Station ** Never got interested in it

Studios
Movie Ride * Did it the last couple of trips, don't think we'll do it again unless we need the break or until they redo it- it's getting really really worn down
Sounds Dangerous ** Never got interested in it to do it- don't like total darkness
Movie Backlot * Remember when it was all through everywhere, and it's so much of a disappointment now
Beauty and the Beast * This one depends on the weather- if it's a roasting hot day, I can't stand waiting in the open air theater- I get sick. If it's a pleasant day, then we're good. I miss 4 For a Dollar, though... When we went in 2007, we got some of the Disney Magic and got picked to be the special couple, and they sang for us, and signed a CD for us and everything. :lovestruc

The only attractions I won't go on are the ones that make me so ill that it ruins the rest of my day:

RocknRollerCoaster at Disney Hollywood Studios - the first time I went on it was when we took our son to WDW for his 18th birthday - he shares his birthday with the opening of WDW although he is significantly younger. We went on the coaster. After we got off I asked him if we wanted to go again and enthusiastically nodded his head. I said, "Great! You go on it while I sit here and recover." I've never been on it again.

Mission Space at EPCOT - I've only been on the non-spinning version, which I enjoy. I'm worried I'll get sick on the spinning version, so I've never tried it.

California Screamin' at Disney California Adventure - The last time I went it made me a little dizzy. I'll have to be careful on this. I've noticed I'm more prone to motion sickness as I get older.

Otherwise, I'll go on everything else. To me, even the worst attraction (Tiki Room - Under New Management) is better than any attraction at any non-Disney theme park.

Stitch is my least favorite attraction, not just in the Magic Kingdom, but in all of Disney World! It's Tough to be a Bug is the runner up for must NOT do. I'd love to know who thought guests would love to be sprayed with stink like these 2 rides do at certain points. Also, I'm not a fan of insects, so the idea of bugs poking me is not my idea of a magical experience! For that matter, who thought a great change to Journey Into Imagination would be to spray skunk stink onto us? :confused3 I guess the only park I'm missing is Hollywood Studios. Sounds Dangerous IS dull, but at least it's a good spot for a nap, and no one is blowing stink into the room!

TOWER OF TERROR!!!!!:scared1:

never again, I hate heights and the sensation of falling over and over again.

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually like Sounds Dangerous. Then again, I'm a big Drew Carey fan.

The only rides I won't go on are the ones that I know would make me sick... like the Teacups, any of the coasters, ToT, and especially Mission Space.

Don't feel bad... I'm in the minority that likes Stitch's Great Escape... yes, its NOT Alien Encounter, but judging it for its own merits rather than comparing it with the old ride, I enjoy it.

Magic Kingdom:

Tom Sawyer's Island - Did it once, don't need to do it again.

Astro Orbiter - Spin, Spin, Spin, SICK!

Pooh - Nothing wrong with the ride, but it will always have my undying animosity that Mr Toad was killed for this.

Mad Tea Party - See Astro Orbiter

Dumbo - See Astro Orbiter (sense the pattern)

Swiss Family Treehouse - Did Once, don't need to do it again.

Magic Carpet Ride of Aladdin - Yep...

As a Note... While I don't dislike the new incarnations of Tiki Room or Pirate's I don't like as much as the older versions... The Jack Sparrow editions look cool, but the story line has major holes now and I just like the original Tiki Room better...

Epcot:
Reflections of China - Seen it once...
Impressions of France - Seen it once...
O Canada - Seen it once...

HISTA - If it comes back...

Studios (If any park disappoints me now, its this one):

Lights, Motors, Action - In a word... LAME. Saw it once, was boring, and is a waste of space...I can't believe they destroyed NY Street for this piece of garbage.

Sounds Dangerous - This needs to die.

American Idol - Another in a long like of disappointing attractions in that building (although I did like Doug).

Indiana Jones - This is SO IN NEED of a make over/new show.

Journey in Narnia - Second film in the franchise finishes below expectations. Disney dumps franchise. Rival picks up Franchise and makes the next film...opening soon... WHY IS DISNEY STILL ADVERTISING THIS??????? Seriously... YOU OWN MARVEL.... If you want to do a movie walkthrough lazy attraction then do one for Avengers, Thor, etc. Seriously, as a shareholder, this ticks me off.

HISTK Playground - Because I'm 32 and 6'1" and my daughter is too young for it...

Backlot Tour - One of my College Programs was as an operator on this ride...Wow seriously how bad have they destroyed this. It needs to go away and replaced with Pixar Land, Marvel land or something... good.

DAK:

Rafiki's Planet Watch - Seen it a few times...

Kali River Rapids - Fun, but I don't like to get soaked and I can duck just enough on Splash mountain to avoid getting too wet.

I'll have to disagree with you there... Rides like Spiderman, the Cat in the Hat ride and many others are better than certain Disney attractions. But I do agree bad at Disney is often better than mediocre at other parks.

Maelstrom ... i just hate it.. i think it totally stinks (no dis-service to Norway) i think its the least "magical" attraction

Okay, so not technically a ride, I avoid Hall of Presidents like the plague! Not sure why. I have never seen it, it just sounds like it would be REALLY boring...

It's actually pretty cool, my kids love it!

I hate, with a passion, It's Tough to be a Bug. I hate bugs and the fog that they set off in there -- I can't breathe and I start to panic. It's just a horrible mixture of creepiness and claustrophobia!

Astro Orbiter in Tomorrowland...

At nine years old I had what I think was my very first panic attack in one of those darned things and I haven't been back up in them since...

(It's kinda funny, though... Rock 'n Roller coaster ? No problem. That "kiddie rocket ride that spins in circles" ? Forget it ! ) :rotfl:

Oh my God.. ME TOO! I tried to tape it (with one of those still over-the-shoulder videocameras) and gave up halfway, leading to 30 seconds of sneaker footage.

I still remember... "There's the Contemporary. There's the castle. There's my life flashing before my eyes. There's the Contemporary. There's the castle. AHHHHH!!!"

I don't like spiders and my wife would never be able to do that one, but I would do it again. The kids got a kick out of it.

Ok, gotta agree with you about Stitch's Great Mistake. It seems that's the consensus with most people, and for the one reason I hate it:

The chilidog.

Other than that, I was surprised about your choice of Ellen's Energy Adventure and Impressions de France. Especially in hot weather! Not just that, but I enjoy them both.

The best part about the France movie is that you can sit down, while you can't sit down for any other movies except Norway. Which reminds me, while I have sat through the movie, I'm more likely to do the "Norway Skip" when the doors open! :rotfl2:

I rode this last year and got so sick... EE, bring it on! LOL

That body wars ride. It was bloody awlful and I am glad it shut down. It shook you up so bad I always left with a headache.

I don't think avoiding that ride is going to be a problem, since it hasn't been open in almost 3 years, and they finally took the signs down last year... :)

If they opened it briefly for a "nostalgia" look before they gut it for something else, I'd ride it again, but I do remember it being a lot more violent movement than Star Tours and the video not being in sync as well which probably gave a lot of people motion sickness...
