I wouldn't ride _______ at WDW if you paid me!

There are only three rides at Disney I 'don't do'
-Mission Space
-Tea Cups
-Star Tours

However, I would go on them if someone paid me to do it- but it all depends on the amount (and on the teacups, who was in control of the wheel! :rotfl:)

Apart from Star Tours- which I would probably go on for £50, the other two are definitely in the £500 plus category! (Or a free Disney holiday, I'm good with either!)

Magic Kingdom

Tomorrowland Speedway
Stich
Swiss Family Treehouse ( even if it isn't a ride)

Epcot

Ellen's Universe of Energy

Hollywood Studios

Sounds Dangerous
Backstage Tour ( isn't it about time they update this thing)

The only show I REFUSE to do is A.I at MGM. Not a fan of the show therefore this show is useless to me. And I don't care how much fun it may be. I don't like the show, don't try to convince me that I MUST try it al least once. I just have no interest.

I do not think that there are any ride in the four main parks that I would avoid. I rather like going on some old classic rides and try to place myself back in the day of the World's Fair or when the park first opened. Sort of seeing the world with historic lenses or with Walt's eyes.

The one ride that I would never go on is the huge water slide in the water park. I'm over fifty and had spinal surgery. I do not see any "up-side" to this early quadriplegic e-ticket ride.:confused3

But that's just me.

I think that I like to try everything at least once but after that the ride I would never ride again even if you paid me would be mission space. I love thrill rides but this was just too much for me.

Great Movie Ride, Great Movie Ride, Great Movie Ride, Great Movie Ride.

I embarrass easily, I guess. I just feel bad for the two cast members who have to go through all that awful shtick.

As I get older, I now tend to get motion sickness, so...

MK: Astro Orbiters and Teacups (sigh...I used to love the Teacups...)
Epcot: Mission Space and Imagination ride (the last one doesn't make me motion sick, just heartsick for the first JII ride)
Animal Kingdom: Primeval Whirl and Dinosaur
Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror

Almost a moot point since I never plan on going back to WDW, but you could not pay me to ride Mission:Space again. I had my first EVER panic attack on that ride and it pretty much ruined our trip. (ended trip 4 days early to drive back to Idaho from Florida because there was no chance of getting me on a plane after that experience)

I actually didn't care for Space Mtn; it felt too jolty and we only rode it once. (Space Mtn at DL is much smoother... or at least seems to pretty much follow the same turning direction for most of the ride so you're not jolted around as much; and Space Mtn at DLP has no comparison!)

Every year when we visit WDW, there are more rides and attractions the kids are able to experience and/or want to experience. However, there are some that the kids flat out refuse to ride or have absolutely no interest to ride. Also, there are some we've ridden and once was enough. To be honest, I am not heartbroken to miss them either. :lmao:

Here are a few on our must "miss" attractions list for WDW:

Magic Kingdom
The Enchanted Tiki Room - Under New Management *
Snow White's Scary Adventures *
The Barnstormer *
Stitch's Great Escape! *
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway *

Epcot
Universe of Energy **
The Circle of Life **
Living with the Land *
Journey Into Imagination with Figment *
Reflections of China **
Impressions de France **
O Canada! **

Disney's Hollywood Studios
Sounds Dangerous **
Voyage of the Little Mermaid *
Studios Backlot Tour *
American Idol Experience **

Disney's Animal Kingdom
It's Tough to be a Bug! *
Dinosaur *
Flights of Wonder **

* We have experienced this attraction.
** We have not experienced this attraction.

Are there any attractions that ...

"I wouldn't ride _______ at WDW if you paid me!"

:surfweb: Jennifer

(Reminder: This is my personal opinion. I love WDW and am in no way against Disney or it's parks. )

you should try flights of wonder at least once...it's interesting!
in any case, my kids enjoy it (as do i)..

top on my list would have to be American Idol.
Why would I want to go to DHS and watch a TV show? :cool2:

Kate, have you been on the wimpy side of mission space? i would never go on the 'intense experience" side, but the wimpy side is fun!!

ok...so for my list of don't, won't or can't do....

the truth is, i'm pretty willing to do everything at WDW, given the right circumstances.....even stitch, if i was together with a group of disers....we could all dis it together..

but there are a few i simply cannot ride (due to a very severe problem with motion sickness)....
-- Rock N Roller Coaster
-- Expedition Everest -- i accidentally rode this once when everyone said "oh it's just a big thunder mountain"....no....it's not....i was very seriously ill after riding that....fortunately nothing more than day long intense motion sickness....but i certainly won't be doing that again....i was fine on it until the backwards section and then...well...i became seriously ill and it took until the next day to recover...
-- tea cups
-- Dumbo (can you believe that i get ill from this????)
-- Carousel (got ill on this too - hard to believe)
-- Aladinn flying carpets
-- rocket orbitters
-- Body Wars (don't have to worry about this as they took it offline - but i only rode it once....got intensely ill from it)
-- Star Tours
-- all the big virtual reality attractions at disney quest (like the rowboat and the aladdin one) - did them all once and they were so much fun but it took overnight to recover from them.....tried again a few years later, same reaction..
-- Primeval Whirl - if only it didn't spin it would be great
-- triceratop spin

that's all i can remember.....as i said, the only ones i really won't go on is what i can't go on due to motion sickness....but that leaves a whole lot i can go on :)

California girl, so we usually do DL.

I can no longer do Space Mountain or Star Tours, make me very sick. All day, miserable sick. I just skip Thunder Mountain, California Screaming, Matterhorn and Thunder Mountain. A little bit of sick messes up my day, no thank you.

Tower of Tower and Astro Orbiter don't bother me a bit, and I can do Teacups if I'm in control of the spinning (in other words, no spinning).

But we are making a very special, "once in a lifetime" (ok twice in a lifetime, once every 20 years) family trip to DW and I'm thinking I'd like to try the tame side of Mission Space just so I can see what it is, Expedition Everest and Rock N' Roller Coaster. Thinking of loading up on ginger to see if that helps (Dramamine knocks me out). Won't be doing Space Mountain (me time while everyone else goes), Stitch, and Star Tours will be closed (yeah!!).

This whole motion sickness thing has become a major obsession with me. Recently got carsick and couldn't believe how sick I was, or how long. Can't stand the idea of being sick in DW, not even for one day. Actually, was sick when we went on our honeymoon 20 years ago, brought along a little parasite from the Bahamas and I knew where EVERY bathroom was in Epcot. Thank God I now know about Imodium, but that's another story...

The only thing i wont ride personally is mission space- whichever is the original side( can you tell I haven't ridden in a while )

The rest of the thrill type rides dh wont do, so i either do them solo or we skip them now that we have a 1 yr old.

But the attractions we rarely bother with are:
Swiss family Robinson treehouse - I can't believe they haven't taken this out for the space yet really
Hall of presidents - we would do it for the ac if you could bring in the stroller, but our little one will not sit still that long in my lap without entertainment
Astro orbiter
Innoventions - we used to but none of the exhibits are stroller friendly
Dinoland
Nemo the musical - ugh hated it!
Light motors action

Okay, so not technically a ride, I avoid Hall of Presidents like the plague! Not sure why. I have never seen it, it just sounds like it would be REALLY boring...

I always thought the same thing...believe it or not, I really like it!! :happytv:

For me, there is only a few I don't like, but others that I just can't get on, due to motion sickness...

Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse - boring
Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey at DHS - boring
The Norway ride at EPCOT - boring

Can't get on Space Mountain, TOT, Rockin Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest, Tea Cups

I'd ride anything at WDW if you PAID me. But there are some attractions that I don't particularly need to do (and usually don't).

-Most of the fantasyland rides like Snow, Pooh, and Peter. They are cute, but I feel like they waste my time when no one in my family likes to do them (anymore - kids grew out of those rides after their first visit).

-American Idol - I just don't get it. The TV show can be entertaining because there is nothing else in the middle of winter - but that's the highest praise I can give it.

-Enema rides at the water park. I tried 'em and I don't understand why people think they are fun. You have to peel your suit from your underside!

-Movies. I've heard good things about the Canada and France videos but just can't bring myself to see them.

I guessed it would be like Star Tours, so I never tried it. Is it ok?

I want to add Primeval Hurl onto this as well, but since I am a bit low on finances- I would go on these rides now for the low, low price of £250!! That's 50% off folks! Just pay for my travel expenses, food, accommodation and park tickets, plus the cost of me riding the ride, and you could see me feeling very queezy in the flesh! ;)

Any takers? :rotfl:
