We will be at DHS on Sunday, Nov. 2nd and I currently have the fantasmic Package reserved at H&V for 4:50p.m. I'm thinking now maybe of canceling due to reviews as well as is priority seating really needed in early November.

I'm thinking of Sci Fi for dinner that night.

Any suggestions? We have never been to WDW so I very much appreciate your input!:worship:

we never got the Fantasmic package and we never would, it has never been too crowded when we've went. we've always found a seat and didnt go much earlier than the time it starts, 1/2 hr at the most. i suppose if u had a huge group, but it's just us two adults. We ate at H&V and the food was just good, desserts were good, but i would not go back. we would MUCH rather eat at our favorites which are Sci-Fi (greatest ribs ever) and 50's (greatest meatloaf ever, but i would try the pot roast, that looks amazing!).

So long as you aren't going during Thanksgiving week, you should be fine. Never been during a busy time like summer or holiday, and so I've never had to worry. Usually get there 30 minutes early but that's because we like to grab a stadium dog and eat while we people watch. I personally don't like the reserved seating area....too far to the right for my liking. I like to sit in the section just below the stadium food shack....about 1/2 way down.

If you are worried, or are going during the holiday week: if you are planning to be at DHS for more than one evening during your trip, make an ADR for the second night.....and on the first night if the crowd is more than you are comfortable with you have the knowledge that the next time you will have the reserved seating. If it's as I imagine it will be, not crowded, then you can cancel the later ADR the following morning. Hedge your bet, lol.

I don't think you'll need the package in November (as long as it is not the holiday weekend); personally, we won't ever step foot in H&V again--twice bad service and bad food. We haven't done Sci-Fi in years but I did read recently that they have really cut the menu back.

We are going in Dec and I first made an ADR at H and V Fantasmic package.
But like the you the reviews got the best of me, along with the fact that we had several other buffet meals planned.
I also wanted an earlier meal, so we could walk around and enjoy Osborne Lights before heading to Fantasmic.
So I called and changed it to a 4pm at 50's Prime Time. We have never eaten here and I read enough good reviews and I liked the menu and the earlier time.
Since it is a late EMH that night at DHS, we will use the TS for lunch and the CS for breakfast and our SC for a late night snack.

I haven't seen a good review on H&V in a VERY long time. We have tried both Sci Fi & 50's Prime Time. 50's wins with our family hands down. It was SUPER fun and food was good. Sci Fi was fun to go to once - the theming was okay but it was dark and the food was blah.

I have seen horrible H & V reviews.. I'm assuming mostly for dinner!?! We scheduled the bkfst for my 19 mth old DD. I'm hoping bkfst is safe. I would think they'd have a harder time messing that up!! Anyone done the bkfst?

We did the character lunch at H&V on 8/21. I was worried that it would be a waste, but my ds really wanted to see JoJo and Goliath, so we tried it. It was actually very good. They had some items that I haven't seen at any other Disney buffets and while I didn't like everything, I was able to find lots of things that were excellent(the pineapple ginger chicken, steak, and cornbread come to mind). Our server was great and my kids liked the interaction.
