After 7 DCL cruises in a row, my wife and I are finally going on another ship. We planned on taking a last minute 4 day cruise
in the beginning of November. We checked the fares on the Wonder but found out that we could save more than half by going on the Sovereign of the Seas.

We booked an oceanview cabin for $199. pp. Couldn't turn down that price.

I'm sure that it will feel strange not being on Disney.

If any recent SOTS cruisers have any recommendations, they would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Kind of, anyway....I booked a 4-night Carnival Fantasy cruise as a Christmas present to my husband. We'll be on that cruise January 12-16, then we get back on board the Disney Magic on the 18th for a week. At least I'm glad I booked it the way I did, doing the Fantasy first, rather than AFTER the Magic. But, I'm kind of wondering if we'll wish we would have booked the 4-day Wonder instead.....oh well, it will be kind of nice to be able to do a little comparing. I'm sure we'll enjoy being back on the Magic more than the Fantasy cruise though!!! :D

My sister and I took a short cruise on the Sovereign last Dec. We were also in an ocean view room. The ship is older and a little worn, but it wasn't too bad. We had a leaky faucet in the bathroom that was never fixed although I complained a couple of times. The rooms are tiny compared to the Wonder. I actually thought the food was better than what we had on the Wonder in 2000. One disappointment was not being able to reach the private island because of the high seas. The tender boats couldn't safely come along side. We had a day at sea instead. The pool deck was very busy although I thought it was too chilly for me. Hope this information helps.:)
