I was really hoping to have a character breakfast while we were at WDW. So, I called today..and there are none available...not anytime...at any restaurant. I'm kinda bummed but I will keep calling. My dd's have never been to one so I thought they would love it!

I'm feeling that either the breakfast or dinner will have characters. I think they are well aware of the lack of time we have to make any arrangements so they are probably taking care of that for us.

Heck, they have given us SO MUCH so far!!!

Did you check breakfast at Cape May Cafe? It's a little less popular than the others. It doesn't have Mickey, it does have Minnie, Goofy, & Donald though. It's my personal favorite

I just spent quite a bit of time on the phone trying to make a meal reservation. No luck I did get an ADR at Kona Cafe so that does make me happy.

Thank god we have a breakfast & dinner with the package we won!! That will be very nice.

I will just hope for the best and keep trying.

Try the Swan/Dolphin and the Hilton at Downtown Disney (other hotels in that area may have one too) for the character breakfast. Those are not on the Disney Dining plan, and not "officially" Disney hotels, so they handle their own reservations, and may have an availability. We had friends stay at the Hilton at DTD last year, and only planned the trip a couple of weeks in advance and they enjoyed their character meal there.

Since you're staying at the Yacht Club, it may help you get a seat at the character meal at Cape May Cafe. When you're checking in there, ask if you can get any character meal at any time there-I bet, if one hasn't come through for you with calling (keep it up!), the CM may be able to squeeze you in since you're staying in the same hotel that CMC's in...

I did try to get one at Cape May yesterday, figuring it would be the easiest since we are staying there, but no luck. I'm going to call back though!

Oh me too. Isn't it an amazing feeling? It's awful but I'm just WISHING the next 3 weeks go by fast. Then I want the week we are gone to go VERY slow
