I won! I won! Disney trip! UPDATE: WE'RE HOME!

How fabulous! I love to hear about people winning prizes that fulfill a dream! Have a great (but, sounds like) non-stop trip. Cannot wait to read your trip report.:)

Thank you. I will do a trip report when we return - once someone tells me how to insert photos;)

Anyone have any idea what airline they are using? :confused3 I didn't want to send another email LOL but just wanted to read the list of what I can and can't bring on the plane. I haven't flown in about 13 years so I'm a little out of the loop :lmao:

I heard that it is Southwest. Which makes me a bit concerned because the closest Southwest airport to me is 2 to 3 hours away. But from reading the rules it appears that they will use the closest airport to your residence. Maybe Southwest will fly us from Disneyland to Disney World.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SOUTHWEST!!! :cloud9:

Southwest doesn't even come to Vermont :lmao:so I'm thinking they will be using a different one for me.

I bet your right - we will all have them same flight from Disneyland to Disneyworld. Wouldn't that be neat, we can all chat about our great time at Disneyland.

I live 15 minutes from the RDU airport. Take me with you and you can spend the night at my house. Heck - I will even get DH to drop us off at the airport to save on parking :thumbsup2

Ha, ha, ha! Nice try. ;)

I was told if your departure city was serviced by Southwest that is what they would use as they are a sponsor.

Mine isn't so I'm not sure :confused3

There is so much info here on the Disboards. Go to the top of this page and click on: The DIS Discussion Forums - Disboards.com and you'll go to the page with links to all the different boards to help plan your trip. You won't need a lot of it, since your reservations are already made. But packing tips must be there somewhere! People generally make Advanced Dining Reservations too, but it may be too late for that. (you can go to the Disney Restaurants Board for that info). It'll be interesting to see if they've planned your days for you, or if you'll be completely on your own.

Have fun!

Since we are leaving for the trip on Fathers Day I think I will surprise DH with a cake in our room at Disneyland :lovestruc

The planning is so much fun:thumbsup2

That's a great idea!
I think it's pretty cool that you all won a Mother's day contest, but you will be in Disney for Father's Day!:thumbsup2

This is so exciting to read about everyone's plans. I can't wait until one of you recieves the full itenerary!

Trish - I am in your neck of the woods today at a seminar. We should have had lunch together. But I would not have let you talk about this trip because I am so insanely jealous!

Oh Denae we should have met!!! That would have been great. I would like to promise to you that I wouldn't say anything but I can't shut up about it

I was at the grocery store today on lunch and I wanted to start telling strangers :confused3 I'm pathetic.

I'm still so psyched to have won this trip! LOL

Trish...that father's day idea is awesome! My I should do that too (if you don't mind me borrowing your idea). I am the least creative person I know :lmao: Unless I can come up with another great idea, which is highly unlikely!

As far as planning goes, I don't even know where to start or what to do! I'm a little overwhelmed since the last time I was in Disney, was when I was 17 and just followed my parents around

I guess I shouldn't do anything until we get our packages, but I just don't want to miss anything that's a "must see" while we are there!

I was just saying to my Mom that I hope we all fly from Ca to FL because I would love to meet these ladies that I've been talking about the trip with!

I'm afraid I'm going to have to steal the idea from you too Trish. I had no idea we were leaving on Father's Day until you mentioned it.

I am overwhelmed as well. I haven't been to Disney World since I was six!

Ok, so I think since everything is starting to sink in...I may be going into panic mode! I just read through the 45 pages of one thread of what/how to pack  so I think i have that under control.

But, I don't want us to arrive in CA or Fl, and say...ok, what first?! I want to have a game plan. Now I know I really can't do any of that until we get our package/itinerary. But is 2/3 weeks going to be enough time to get a "plan" together? I'm afraid without some kind of plan, we will waste 1/2 the day trying to figure out what to do! :lmao:
