The book your friend recommended is great. Another great book is the Passporter. Even though I've been 15+ times I like to get both books every other year or so.

Yep, I think I am going to pick those books up but I may wait and see what Disney is going to send us first. You never know.
)-it's more of a quick reference guide and a good place to keep all the paperwork than a "how to" book like the unofficial guide. We never outgrow it, although ours is from 2003 and the elastic has snapped off it, so I should probably get a new one this year-it's a good place to keep the mountains of paperwork that always happens with a disney vacation (even a normal, non prizewinning one).
I got a 5 night/6 day trip for 4 to BOTH Disneyland and DisneyWorld!!
This is definately legit, I've received all my paperwork and now just waiting for a Disney Rep to call me to scheduled my flights etc.
I had resented to the fact that there wouldn't be any more Disney trips with my family due to money. My DD asks every year if we could goNow I have a trip to DisneyWorld and also to be able to experience Disneyland too - oh my goodness!!
It will be a whirlwind of a week but I'm ready for it! We go in June

Picked up some ponchos, ziplocs, new socks and a bunch of little things we needed for the trip.
Originally I was going to bring a backpack, but I really don't want to be weighed down by a backpack during the whole trip. Plus my dd's are 11 and 6, so I really don't need to carry much for them anymore (ie. diapers, wipes, etc.). I figured just something big enough for money,hand wipes, camera, sunblock, etc. I mean, that's all I really need, right?

I am SO thrilled for you guys!!! And I think it's extra neat that some of you had hoped to go but couldnt - and NOW YOU ARE!!!! And you've found each other - planing and getting excited willl add a lot of extra fun to an already fun time. I came here years before my registered date for one trip and then kept coming back.... (watch out you CAN become addcited - to WDW and the DIS!

you could also pm him if you have further questions - but until I read his thread I wasnt too interested in Disneyland (false of course!) but WOW!!
(oh and do go to photobucket.com it is extremely user friendly to upload your pictures, then when you make a trip report - you just copy their link - I find using ctrl +c easy way to copy the link - then when you want to paste it in your trip report its an easy ctrl + V!)
