I LOVE this thread. There are so many things that I did not think of. Thanks so much. Keep it coming.

One that I don't think is mentioned is the BEDTIME SNACK. My DS eats one everynight. He eats a little many times throughout the day, and often he is snacky at night. He loves pepperoni, but we packed Slim Jims and that was wonderful to have something filling and easily accessible for certain nights when he was actually still awake.![]()
Another one for the power strip. That was the best tip I ever read on these boards.
I also second bringing drinks. We packed a water filter pitcher, which was so handy, along with refillable Nalgene bottles so that we could get the bottles filled the night before for the next day, and still have the pitcher water for the room.
If you enjoy, we brought our own beer. After DS went to bed, DH and I sat on the balcony and enjoyed eachother's company over a nightcap or two.
I wish that I had brought something to organize the toiletries. I couldn't find a cheap enough over the door organizer to suit my budget, so I went without. But I noticed that the bathroom door at AKL seemed to be extra thick, I don't know that something would have fit over it.
I also wish that I had gotten a cheap toothbrush holder, or figured something out. We normally use electric, but we travel with regular toothbrushes.
I haven't had a chance to read all the tips, so if this is a repeat, please forgive me.
One thing I always take is a B&BW Wallflower for the room. I keep the lid that goes on the fragrance bulb, & recap it when we leave. They last for quite a few trips, & I replace as necessary. An odor neutralizer isn't a bad idea either.![]()
I also take pump soap. (I usually take a matching fragrance from B&BW, but any kind you like will do.) I can't stand wet, slimy bar soap. YUCK!
Other things on our "must take" list were already posted.
Okay, am sure I'll feel silly when I find out..but what is &BW, please?
Of course!! ...and a wallflower is...?
Thanks much!!![]()
For those of you who bring plug in the wall air fresheners....we have a horror story. My DS has very severe asthma, which is triggered by such things. When he was about 6 we checked into the WL, where apparently housekeeping had not noticed one had been left behind. The room was quite perfumed, and he ended up in the ER with an asthma attack, since we didn't locate where the smell was coming from until after he'd gone to bed. Please be sure to take them with you!
For those who cannot find the palmolive cloths you can make your own. I cut papertowels in 1/2, then fold that half and add a drop of dishwashing det. then fold in half and pop them into a ziploc baggie...... Works like a charm!!!! I do this all the time esp. for disney and for when we go camping.......
