I WISH Disney Dining had...

I wish you could split up your dining plan. Say you were staying 7 nights, you could get four nights basic DDP and three nights QSDP.

People have been asking for a Pixar meal for YEARS. The constant "Disney" reply; we're working on it. Who knows why? I am all for the person who mentioned that they wished the dining plan still included tips. That would be great. But all in all I'm happy that there is a dining plan cause I remember the days before it and it made for such an expensive vacation. Even if you still are paying for the meals, I think its nice that Walt Disney World offers their version of an "all-inclusive" package that so many other resorts in other countries do offer, but you rarely find here in the states. I still would prefer that it included the tips though. :)

I couldn't agree more. We love the dining plan because we can go and be relatively stress free. Everything is pretty much paid for ahead of time, so all we have to worry about are souvenirs and tips. :) We are heading down in a few days with the dining plan again, it's just so nice not to have to worry about checks and balances with every meal. But it would be nice if tips were included again! :thumbsup2

Thank you hunnyjar! Congrats on your new arrival and have a great vacation with your little one's first birthday! On a side note, I do remember something about the Pixar characters height, etc (like for example Woody's height and Buzz's wingspan) not being able to be accomodated for in the restaurants. Not being able to get through doors and that kind of thing.

Well, like some others have already said, I wish the dining plan included tips and gave us the choice of choosing wither appetizer or dessert. In addition, I wish the Fantasmic dinner package included the SciFi Drive In.

My greatest dining wish is a TS in the American Pavillion at Epcot highlighting one or more (buffet) regional cuisines. There are so many possibilities, I think it's a shame that burgers and fries are pretty much the only foods representing the U.S.A.

Pixar Meal--I really thought with the New Toy Story Movie coming out and the fact that the new ride is as popular as it is, they would have had a Toy Story Character meal.
Phineas and Ferb--they are so popular with the little ones they need some kind of showing in Disney World. I think they would be better at HWS instead of Jo Jo's Circus and lil Einsteins.
A Handy Mandy meal would be cute too.
I wish the dining still included tips.

I wish upon this star . . .

1. A "medium" dining plan (I didn't know so many other people wanted it too!)

2. A little more flexibility w/DDP, such as coverting x# snack credits=1 CS or 1 TS meal (but I know that would get really tricky)

3. A CS @ a resort or DTD that featured some of the dishes from different countries around the WS (though I know that would be difficult for the kitchen).

The "medium" plan I would like to see is a plan that allows 2 meals anywhere (TS or CS), 1 snack and a refillable mug each night. The plan would also include apps for TS meals. We like the CS at the parks for lunch and all, but a plan like this would allow for more flexibility for everyone, and not too many meals for those of us who do not go to signatures yet (I have little kids so the only 2TS we will go to right now is CRT...if they could handle lots of other 2TS meals we would be more open to the deluxe plan, but otherwise it's too many meals for us). I also think 2 snacks are too much per day, we find one to be plenty.

I wish Disney Dining had.....

Food booths with little "tastes" from different countries ALL THE TIME like they have at F&W...and they could change all the time too!!! A girl can dream...

A few more adults only dining options. No flames please. It would just be nice to have a few more guaranteed quiet and/or romantic spots that weren't as expensive as V&A. Don't get me wrong...LOVE V&A...going in 10 days!!!

More appetizer options at bars/lounges. I could just dine on that for a vacation!!

A decent CS or two at DHS.

And narcotics for pain Adults could purchase for all achy joints and muscle. lol laughing but you do hurt.

Character free buffet days. We love the atmosphere of Crystal Palace and would love to go to Ohana's for breakfast but would rather not have to do the obligatory act-like-you're-interested-in-the-character-wave every 10-15 minutes they come around. It would be nice if they designated one or two days during the week that were character-free.

And Disney has been offering dining plans for YEARS (at least the last 17). We were on what is now the deluxe dining plan on our first trip in 1993. We haven't done any dining plan since as it works out better for us (financially and food wise; we eat two TS meals a day).

Oh, and I wish more WDW restaurants offered sweet tea :lovestruc.

That all character breakfasts had Pooh's puffed french toast and not just at Crystal Palace.

I'd also love a Toy Story character meals.

A Dining Plan with 1 QS and 2 TS meals per day (no snacks, no mugs). I'd settle for 2 QS and 1 TS and they can skip the dessert and/or appetizer even.

I agree that a dining plan between basic and deluxe would be great. I feel like I'm not getting quite enough for my money with one table service a day, but 3 full meals is just too much time to spend eating each day!

I would also love it if the dining plan still included tips. I'm trying to figure out how much extra money I'll be spending on tips and OOP meals to fill the void of the basic plan for my upcoming trip, and it's not easy!

The tips not being included don't bother me because we started using the DDP in 2008, the first year tips were not included. And while an app would be nice for TS, we also didn't have that in 2008 (it was the first year they removed that as well). But DH and I are more dessert people than app people. Usually when we go out we skip apps because we would rather have dessert and we want to make sure there's enough room for it! We were used to going on cruises before we got hooked on Disney, and the tips were not included in the price of that vacation either, so it's what we're used to already. We get an idea of what we will be tipping, based on reading the menu prices on allears before we go.

1. a Fantasmic Package with 50's Prime Time Cafe.
2. a Pixar Character Meal
3. a Princess Dinner Show
4. a good soul food restaurant
5. Tiana's Palace!

What say you?

I wish the PTC was part of the fantasmic package too. Actually, it used to be years back, but then they changed it.:sad2:
a pixar meal or pirate themed meal sounds great.:thumbsup2

1. I agree that an expanded Fantasmic choice would be great...Sci Fi or 50s
2. A character meal geared to boys...Pirates or Pixar would be fun
3. We would also love the dining plan went back to the old way...tip and app included
4. And DH would agree with the post about the coffee...He hates the coffee at the TS meals...The only one he likes his the Kona at the Poly...In general he has a hard time finding good, hot coffee.

I WISH Disney Dining had...

1. consistent table service restaurant service from one visit to the next
2. returned to focusing on quality vs affordability
3. children menus that provide kids choices beyond their cost cutting-kid sterotyped offerings
4. TS offering in the USA Pavillion to fully represent this country like its neighboring pavillions
5. a collection of new TS restaurants designated as walk-in only
6. Pixar character meal offering at a new TS themed restaurant at DHS
