I will never "get" this!

That's what I love about venues like Hard Rock Live. The balcony area has a choice of tables and barstools or stadium seating. The main floor is standling room only.

Generally speaking those in the stadium seats sit through the entire show, offering the opportunity for those who would prefer to sit to do so.

Wheelchair patrons are generally allowed in first, and are given areas along the raised area on the first floor that is about four feet higher than the dance floor, so you are looking over people's heads more or less at eye level with the stage--perfect view!

You know last night at Kenny Chesney I had this thread in mind. We actually found a spot to stand in where we weren't blocking anybodys view but we could dance like crazy :) It was good times.

Just FYI, I wasn't flaming you, just adding to your comment :) I reread my post and it sounded odd. Sorry about that.

I did not take it that way at all. :thumbsup2

My dad who will soon be 60 stands and claps to some of the people we have seen in concert!!. I like to have a good time and enjoy myself, I will not stand the whole time, but if someone in front of me stands and starrts dancing or whatever, i will stand to. With what you pay for concert tickets these days I say go and have a good time, and if that means standing, dancing or whatever, then do it!

I think the performer would be offended if everyone just sat and watched emotionless.... :confused3

having spent five years playing in rock bands, i have to agree with this quote. nothings worse than looking out at a crowd sitting in their chairs and tapping their feet......but being 5'4", when i'm an audience member i tend to agree with the OP :teeth:

If I don't stand at concerts, I'll never see anything. Plus a lot of times I'm in general admission mosh pit types of concerts and so there aren't any seats. It's funny the type of dancing I see at some concerts though. I just went to see the Strokes a couple of weeks ago and there was this couple that was doing like booty slapping club dancing the whole time and kind of humping each other. At a rock concert. It was weird. And then they threw beer on me. That was kind of rude. But it was a rock concert, what do you expect.

I apologize to anyone I offended by the "lump" comment.

Having someone tell me to settle down at a concert where I was stitting really annoyed me though. I did not spend $80 to go to the library. I spent $80 to go to a concert, and I wanted to have fun.

No offense taken.
